@joeheypang are you using the slow version? to play smoothly just takes lots of practice (slow and even, then gradually faster) until your finger muscles are so familiar with the section that you can daydream and the fingers still play the right notes. it's called muscle memory.

this song is quite easy to learn. i learnt it in a day. the left hand side is easiest to learn as it repeats. the right hand side is basically in every other canon song.

@anselcute08 I'm no master. But you might be able to play the beginning. It does get harder later. In the meantime, practice easier songs to build a foundation. Then finish this piece later. The monkey site song page has nice and easier songs, marked with a *. Enjoy learning, ok? :)

Take your time learning each white key's name.

(There is only 7, but each with sharps and flats, plus different octaves)

After that, get familiar with chords.

Once you get the basic major chords, you'll start to understand many songs, even this one.

Trust me, might look complex at first, but like bbd said, build a foundation.

Once you have gotten a strong foundation, you can play so many songs that it's almost endless of what you can play.

sorry, this song is not a good place to start. It's like trying to add fractions before you're skilled at adding integers. Yikes! xD

Start with easier songs that you like. I marked easier songs with a * on the monkey site.

if you build up a foundation by practicing diligently, maybe three years for this Canon in C. Time flies when you're having fun. :)
