  • This is pretty badass.

  • dat was crazy!!!

  • Oh my garshk!!! I love Jeff B. guitar, and you Sir are on par with my Master. Keep the uploads coming, you have a fan here.

  • that was sensational...straight into my favorites...now I need a Strat (got one but it's a hardtail :(

Great job on my favorite Jeff Beck tune - such an otherworldly song.

  • 0.15 thru 0.38 demonstrates, once again, why the electric guitar will be regarded as one the most important inventions of the 20th Century - It will be understood with time that man's soul is battered; that she needs to heal, to restore her dignity..

The deep, hurtful, tragic expression of sorrow expressed by this melody helps release the isolation, the pain, the emptiness modern man has to endure.

Gifted artisans offer respite and safe quarter to those wounded by life..

  • I never have understood how some of you guys do Jeff Beck songs LIVE better than Jeff Beck does Jeff Beck songs live. The only thing I can come up with is that by the time Beck gets around to touring a song, he's already bored with it and has to mess with it. Anyway, point is, You are fantastic on this song. Beautiful. Thank you.

  • not perfect....what are you fucking kidding...spot on

  • yo this shit sounds nice but look hard with playing and using the whammy uhh it's beautiful! XD!

  • wtf this is sick

  • My goodness me - what a great cover/copy. Thank you. You say "not perfect" - yeah, jolly close - close enough to sound similar to JB which is almost impossible in itself, I'd say. Cheers

  • That is good stuff ! Amazing accuracy !

  • That is some very cool playing. You made me want to go back to that song to learn it properly.

  • exellent

  • amazing....truly amazing :)

  • Dude what are you talking about. This is perfect 49+ and 0-.!!!

  • Sounds pretty good to me! Well done.

  • a really great job Man, i love Jeff beck and your Nadia version is simply fantastic.

    greetings from Italy

  • ÿour good man, keep doing it, everybody needs ajustments!! just play and live lovin it!

  • DUDE!

  • and also a stupid question, but i'm busting my brains on this one, how do you bend up with the lever? mine only goes down... do you need a special bridge for it? sorry for the question

  • hi,

you need to readjust the trem, just in case noones answered your comment ok..

if your not sure how to tackle this probably best to link up with someone who knows how to..ie local music shop.

    but its not difficult really..

    google it my friend...

wat kind of guitar are you trying this on??

  • also bear in mind beck uses a special nut and probably(not sure) a tremsetter of some type.but any guitar will get you close..

their must be a video on here explaining how to adjust the trem...surely.

    anyways rock on my friend..!!!!

  • that's awesome, please, did you use some kind of wah pedal or other bending stuff? i mean, besides the lever.. great stuff

  • ha, pretty good cover.

  • nice strat¡¡ how u get the music????

  • bro that was so amazing! two questions...did you edit the original track so that the frequencies containing the guitar were taken out ? And also did you compose a tabla drum layer to along with it? Again its amazing, props

  • no, I did not edit the track. I took the bass out of guitar completely on eq while recording. Treble is full on, middle on 7. It's a bit fuzzy, but I listened on JB studio record it's trebly too, but I'm sure he did use a real amp and it sounds much better. I did not programm anything - it's a backing track from Guitar Tech magazine, but u can get same result from Stylus pretty easy.

  • nice. i play similarly. good bar action. how far up does your bar extend ? Jeff says 25% down and 75% up. i enjoyed video. where can I send you my CD ?

  • thanks, the vibrato is setup that the 3d string goes up almost 2 tones up, should be 3 semitones I guess, but it could be a sound artifact then plate hits the deck, so it's good idea to leave some additional space to bend. Anyway, I don't like it too much - too many notes sound out of tune - should rerecord it. Thanks for CD, electronic methods of sending are the best nowdays )) What kind of music is it?

  • As far as I see others playing on YouTube, you are the best!

If Jeff appears on the video and mimes on your sound, I'd be fooled for sure

  • Comment removed

  • different to Jeffs but just as nice.....not even Jeff plays it the same each time.

  • Best cover i've heard yet, well done, sounded great to me

  • sounds alright , it gives the feeling

  • well done mate. jeff is just an alien from another planet.

  • Also, I don't care for his tone... I think it's a little harsh on the ears. You can also tell that it's him with the timing being off because he hits some of the spots on time and some aren't.

Again, not trying to "prove" anything. Being a real musician is giving praise AND CONSTRUCTIVE criticism when needed.

  • I believe this too, but it's better to PM, because people would still give you thumbs down even if the advice you give is constructive. Just saying. That's how the internet is, sadly.

  • I agree... but that's how I voice things. If people have a problem with it, so be it.

  • Not bad.., you really need work on the whammy bar and your timing. You're bending a lot of notes out of pitch and that's natural. It takes A LOT of practice to even get near a tenth of the ability that Jeff uses with it. Good effort though.

  • @AxisofJustice21 Saw your video, it might be because of the backing track on this video, but I'm positive this guy plays better. Or it sure sounds like it. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time my ears deceived me.

  • Well I'm not out to prove anything... I think most of the idiots that put a thumbs down on my comment tried to think that. I don't give a damn who is better at anything, that's just MY honest opinion. I posted that video because I've been practicing my whammy bar abilities and finger picking and I felt it was something I wanted on youtube.

I'm sorry, but he's bending notes out of pitch and his timing is off with the backing track because of him. Anybody with a musicians ear can tell. Flame me!

  • superb effort! i love this song and you really do it justice. well done!

  • Becks is the best shredder of all time.

hes truely underrated. forget satriani and

    malmsteen.

    they're overrated!

  • One of the best versions on here....well done.

  • your guitar looks minty fresh

  • that´s awesome , really.

now , i have a quiestion . what is it that i have to do so as my guitar not going completely out of tune when i use the bar?? thanks!

  • Wow, that was incredible! I've never seen anyone who can play Beck style that well

But anyway, in response to franklasa's question, to get your guitar to stays in tune better, put some pencil lead in the nut (you could also install a graphite or LSR nut)

Also, make sure you do a little a knot with the string at the tuner when you're restringing your guitar (and don't forget to stretch the strings out too)

Beyond that, there's not much you can do short of getting a locking tuners or a Floyd Rose

  • was reading the comments on jeck beck cover and saw your question....

you could try fitting a "tremsetter".

i believe they are quite good from all reports...

hair clipper oil in the nut helps with the friction issue as well, this helps the string to glide back to tension more easily.

oil the string trees as well if fitted ok..

    hope this helped..

  • did u use the tab to play this song?

By the way - great man!

  • EXCELLANT

  • sei bravissimo! Complimenti!

  • Very nice job, nice tone.

  • To all.... I have found the backing track but cant post address. contact me

PS I love your version so much must learn it.

  • can I get that track please.

  • Well what can I say? its all been said ,accept that how do you get that tone? is it thru a wah?

Also where on earth can I get the excellent backing track you use?

I have to do this before I die...

  • The tone is achieved from strat pickups, a little delay (at least in this vid), and a no/little gain booster pushing tubes OR a big muff (I don't own a Muff or a strat but I do know it always makes strats really creamy instead of biting)

  • What kind of pedal are you using? Great playing!!!

  • Air snake airming

  • RESTECP.....PEACE!!

  • Please give us the backing track :'(

  • Awesome really awesome !!!

  • hey great cover!

where did you get the backing track from?

  • Great job, and thats from someone else who tried their best at cracking the nadia nut!

    Nice backing track too!

  • Great Stuff

  • thats pretty much perfect...dude i need the backing track!!!...how can i get it!!??

  • omg. one word. breathtaking.

    i love Nadia.

  • I just love nadia, Jeff is a guitar god and you do him and this piece justice, great technique..great work....

  • perfect,10 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's been said before, but this is a great cover! Aside from the tone which is spot on, your playing is great as well, you played it a bit different, but in a very good way..

  • mate, that is absolutely fucking brilliant! it honestly feels like jeff beck playing, the tone is spot on!!

  • great version !!! where did you get the playback please !!

    thanks

  • pull the bar up between thumb and 1st 2nd fingers like a squeezing movement then let it go,Then it bounces making the growl, but the trem should be a two point and set with 2 springs making it very light and easy to use.Should be a gap of about 1/8th 3/16th at rear of trem.this is how I do it.

  • Best version Ive heard outside of Becks man, thumbs up. Can you give some tips on how to make the bar growl like Beck does? I cant seem to do it. Also I have an Ibanez trem, do you think the trem is good enough to produce those sounds? Thanks.

  • Thanks for you comment! If I understood you correctly, to growl you have to bend up with tremolo and drop the tremolo arm (pardon my English). Ibanez probably has Floyd Rose type tremolo - sorry, never used one

  • can you give me any tips on keeping the whammy in tune?

by the way, awesome job man!

  • Lubricate everything on string path, put a LSR or graphite nut. If it's 2-point tremolo (like one on video) it wont stay perfectly in tune anyway. Thanks for listening!

  • Wow, you did a great job!

  • Did you change the tuning on your guitar for this? seems like it's a half step off the normal 440 tuning...

  • Yes, it's half step down. I believe the strings are 11-50. Thanks for listening

  • Thanks a lot for listening. Don't listen to original - it's too good.

    P.S. I lost your money ))

  • Dammm...nice whammy control! It's a pain getting it to float just right isn't it but you have it .Wonderful control as it can sound waaaay out of tune very quickly.I can tell you have practiced lots!!! Excellent playing .......BTW what kind of Strat is it?

  • Thanks. I've been playing this for about 4 months, probably. It's not that good because there are some flat and sharp tones here and where. And the sound is a little fizzy. Beck is also controls dynamics with a volume knob as often as he touches the strings, I think . This JB Artist Strat with Kinman Hunk Marvin pups. Electronics changed too.

  • dog, you get my money.

  • Thanks for listening!

P.S. My dog lost your money :)

  • Perfecto!!! 5+++***!!!

  • respect! 5!

  • awesome! nice strat tone! 5*****

  • Thanks!
