  • this engine have VTEC?

  • @driftking9293 all the d series engines come without vtec.....and it doesnt look like he has a vtec head on it

  • @swagstars Not true. there are D series with Vtec.

  • sounds rough as fuck

  • wow man! sounds great! too bad you sold it.

  • wow i got the same type of engine

  • It sounds like you need to advance the timing. It idles high and low, because the ECU is telling it to idle higher, but the valve-train isn't built enough to idle where the ECU wants it to. What ECU are you running? Also your idle is just a little bit too high. My friend did a D16Y8 mini me swap and used a P28 ECU and had the same idling problem. Very nice CRX btw :)

  • Looks nice but it's hunting a little and burning a fair bit of oil - maybe you should look at your valve seals and also repaint ya rocker!!! :D

  • this engine sounds like shit dude, fix your idler

  • nice car but the engin sounds a little weird... rev's is up and down... backfiring at low rev's .... dont know might wanna check it out black smoke sigh

  • he revs are boucing wen u dnt rev thats bad nois comin from a crx

  • well that sound's bad!

  • ppl ZC and D16 are the same engine - difference is one is american and one is jap spec of the same engine.

    ZC JDM

D16 US OR AUS Im from AUS

  • you are wrong good sir.... the zc (whether sohc or dohc) was an entirely different model made to be put in several usdm hondas, but was kept as a jdm si engine because of the large number of d16a9's already imported to the us for the 88-89 integra. similar but not identical.....

  • Nah i mean is the cars engine forged or not forged you dum arss.

  • what power is the stock vtec block good for. b4 it blows.>?

  • You do know this video and this car has absolutely nothing to do with "the stock vtec block?"

And by stock vtec block do you mean D series? B series? F K H? There are plenty of websites to help you...

  • Was this in the UK - looks like a british plate.

  • yeh the car was in northern ireland

  • msg to weejoeturbo

just bought your old CRX myself putting new block in it with upgraded internals, i'll put a video up when it's running.

  • d16a1 d16a8 d16a9 d16zc, these's codes all apply to the engine in the car they are just stanp differantly in certain models, for example uk crx/civic ed9 16i is a d16a9

    a rover 216 gti is a d16a8

jdm ed9 is a d16zc but after 87 there all the same engine

  • just to let you know... the ZC is motorcode ZC there is no d16a9 to it.. thats the integra motor. which is really nothing like the zc

  • OMG WTF U DNT KNW SH1T!1

How did I do in terms of youtubians native language. But seriously. Go out and read a book or something.
