I still can't believe that he stood on the senate floor and blatantly lied about circumcision and its supposed benefits. He conveniently left out the fact that no major medical organization recommends it or suggests that its a necessity anymore. He censors all questions about circumcision from his Facebook page. When someone wrote, "FYI, My great-grandfather was forced to be circumcised as an adult during the Armenian Genocide." The girl who wrote it had her comment deleted & she was blocked !!

I joined his Facebook fan page which had 80 fans and asked a question about AB 768, specifically I asked why the statement he gave in favor of the bill conflicted with that of all other medical organizations. My question was deleted and I was removed from the page. I rejoined the page, but now I've been blocked from asking questions/commenting.

His latest press conference concerning AB768 was held outside so obviously press COULD film and take pictures. They brought in bigger Jewish Gun Slinger Senator Mark Leno who also read his script but then asked for questions after all this press and public event was called a "discussion"

Also, California is a two party consent state as far as recording. I imagine he also will use that to keep from being recorded if he doesn't consent. There needs to be some sort of legislation that enforces the public's and the press' right to report using audio and video methods, especially in regards to public officials who have public meetings in public places. All government meetings (except those that have to do with state and national security) should be OPEN, PUBLIC RECORD.

@Philflash - Hey Phil. You hit the nail on the head with this Kaplan guy. But, I have to defend the cops. They were very professional and were simply following the request of the folks who were using the auditorium.

I quietly set up, with the intention of taping and, perhaps, asking a question. But, Gatto & his staff spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get me kicked out. First, Kaplan said, "no press." Then he said, "You need a credential." Neither of those worked with the police.

@MikeGatto2010 The only reason the cops can ask someone to leave a public event such as being in a library is if they're 1) disturbing the event 2) breaking the law. Neither of these were happening. The cops are too eager to please who they perceive to be better salary payers it seems.

As for a loophole for the library contract. If it was a private even, then sure. However, a public even, in a public library, with public officials, I don't think so.
