  • @LuomuKekkonen Thank you!

  • damn!

    that was awesome!

  • This always reminds me of Rome Total War for some reason. Love it.

  • Brilliant!

  • i would choose this over Lady Gaga and her bacon outfits any day. I'm finnish and this kicks ass ! Reminds me of my grandfather who i've never even met (sounds silly doesn't it). There's only one word. BRILLIANT !

  • top class

  • The connection with your instrument is what really gets me. it's greater than technique, or even arrangement.(which is absolutely beautiful!) thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of music with us!

  • This beautiful piece... completely unstresses me!...thankyou. and played with real feeling.... :)

  • Great version. Really catching sound. Thanks!

  • it's great to be Finnish =).

    -

    on hienoa olla suomalainen =).

  • Jason Poland love you :))))) keep it up man :D

  • @jacek225 Thankyou very much!

  • This is Harrowing sound. Very good. It has an aire of mystery that places a new level on the song, a far cry from the orchestral full version of Finlandia. I like it very much.

  • brilliant. I love it. Greetings from the Netherlands

  • This was my first intoduction to a harp guitar and what a introduction it was... Brilliant playing. The section (beginning at 0:46) were the harp side of the instument is played with violin bow resembles a bit the sound of Didgeridoo which gives the a bit of exotic flavour. Way to go.

  • @DoomedDawn Thanks very much!

  • that is really awsome!! EXCELENTE Y HERMOSO (spanish)

  • man im a heavy metal fan but that is awesome

  • @stufalla Thanks mate!

  • my high school's alma mater is practically the same tune. very cool

  • Find me a set of Flatwound starting at 0.70, with small ball ends and i will check them out...

  • Um...

You should REALLY use flatwounds for those bass strings >,<

  • Vince Neal learned How To play Harp Guitar after his 22nd DUI.

  • No but i lived there for 7 years :)

  • just amazing!!

  • Holy God... This is amazing. I've got no words to describe the awesomeness of this guy playing this song.

  • True, true. I have money but I want to save it for my future. Once I get one I'll get some vids out, cuz I can play stuff like metallica on my electric guitar. But I don't want haters. But these songs brighten me up for my new days :) I listen to em every day, especially different worlds

  • That's no problem :) I would love an instrument like that, but I can't buy one like that. I can't really afford it either, so I can't follow my dreams. Keep up the great work :)

  • Dreams should not depend on money and where there is a will there is always a way...

  • Most interesting instrument, yet sounds so beautiful, a skilled guitarist like you deserves great hope and a pass to a kings throne. Jus sayin your music is great :) love "different worlds"

  • Thanks Cassandra!

  • Most amazingly beautiful, thank you Jason!!

  • That was the most helpful comment i have ever seen...

  • This is the stupidest instrument i've ever seen...

  • @rubyscorner why? tell my why is it stupid if it can make beautifull music?

  • @Sh4dowr because you will never be able to use the instrument it to it's fullest, although jason makes a good effort here.

  • that was epic dude such passion thank you for letting us hear you play.

  • vitun runkkari

  • That is so very awesome, and one of my favorite songs. You gave the greater meaning to the song (the lyrics) the honor of their due. Well Done...

    And thank you for sharing.

  • creepy

  • Every time I see a Harp guitar I think of a Picasso painting. Thank you for posting this great video. I enjoyed the playing and the music.

  • how were you making such a clear and loud sound with just one hand???

  • Well its called 'tapping', hitting the strings very hard with the left hand, a common heavy metal technique.

  • @jasoncrater You tapping sucks, get a electric guitar

  • @darkrockdude

i think it meant to say "Your tapping is unsatisfactory. Obtain an electric guitar."

  • great stuff eh

  • Thanks! The Bass is GABCDE and the Guitar DADGAD...

  • No, this was pre-Duet, and it would sound even richer and clearer if it was! This was a complicated setup with old gear.

  • I think you're mistaking that guitar for a violin...

  • this is called creativity

  • I want to visit Finland, it sounds so erotic...I mean exotic

  • 5 stars you sre a very good player

  • where I can find it? is very god!

  • Incredible Jason!

  • beautiful song and very good style

  • that was magnificent!

  • I had to sing the original song for this at my Grandmother's funeral (RIP May 2, 2009 at 10:10 am) and the piece is a beautiful one. I haven't heard a better intrumental version. Thank you.

  • An amazing instrument and an amazing interpretation! I love the original and this was really capturing, love it :)

  • oh wow. too cool. very imaginative. extreme musicality. beautiful composition. Bravo Jason.

  • you are a great player

(That Harp Guitar looks like something Spock would play)

  • Wow, I cant believe how amazing this sounds. Just beautiful.

  • That was an odd guitar. What's it called?

  • "Harp guitar", I suppose.

    Wonderful playing btw.

  • my Ensemble played this song at our recital last semester. Oh and niiiiiice work on the polyphonics.

  • Hey Jason. SUPERB!!!

Is that a Stephen Sedgwick Harp you are playing??

  • THANKS! it sure is a Sedgwick, a great instrument! J

  • very nice. beautiful and elegant! and that's how an acoustic electric should sound in my opinion - perfect. it's not tacky or plastic sounding at all but very organic sounding, almost like placing a mic to it. what preamp is in that if you don't mind?

  • Hey! Am using an Apogee Ensemble with a K and K Pickup inside the Harp Guitar....Jason

  • Thanks .

  • PWNAGE

  • among the best I have ever seen!

MIKSI SINÄ HERRANI MINUT HYLKÄSIT !!!!!!!!!!!

  • proud to be finnish :)

  • How much cost a Harp Guitar like this? Looks very simple build.

  • Finlandia is the most beautiful song in the world! love it <3

  • Beautiful! I never knew that instrument existed.

  • that was awesome...thought i've never seen that instument before but pretty cool

  • Amazing!

Damn, are those regular guitar strings on the guitar part of the instrument? Because I never realized you could use a bow on them and achieve the same effect as a viola etc.. I just assumed those stringed instruments had some different type of string... :S

  • That's amazing!

I was half expecting you to pick up a trombone for the brass fanfare lol

    Quality playing!

  • dude, this is killer. Bowing the bass strings even LOOKS cool!

  • I love this. The bowing part at the beginning was especially gripping! (it also looked a little uncomfortable when you reached around to bow the 12th string :D)

Where did you commission your instrument from, Jason? I'm told Harp Guitars are a little on the expensive side.

  • kaunista kuunneltavaa...hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää suomi!
