Greeks and Turks dont 'argue over details'.Half of Cyprus has been illegally occupied by Turkey since 1974 . Greek and Turkish Cypriots are the same. Don't confuse them with people from Greece or Turkey. Turkey is the oppressor. Turkish and Greek are completely different languages, apart from some shared words and accents in Cypriot.

The EU is by no way a "statue of wisdom". Turks are not nuts about joining the EU - that is only the matter of politicians. Most Turks are against the EU because EU is hypocrite. They attempt to teach "peace, human rights, freedom of speech", etc... on one hand and on the other hand, they secretly support terrorism, live off weapon trade, etc...

@Jeffanos προφανος και δεν έχεις μιλήσει με τουρκοκύπριο. όσο για τα πανεπιστήμια προφανώς δεν είσαι σωστά ενημερωμένος. δεν μπορουν να πάνε οοοσοι θέλουν σε όποιο τμήμα θέλουν. υπάρχει συγκεκριμένος αριθμός θέσεων.
αγνώμων που θέλω να δω το νησί μου και πάλι ελεύθερο και ανεξάρτητο; ΧΑ-ΧΑ το ακούσαμε και αυτο... καλο ανεκδοτάκι. στο είπα και πριν στο ξαναλέω. αν είναι να συνεχίσεις, ξανακοίταξε το θέμα με την "αχαριστία" γιατι και οι μπαρούφες κάποια στιγμή κουράζουν

@pan21aek Πρώτον καλό θα ήταν να αποφεύγεις χαρακτηρισμούς όπως μικρό μυαλό κλπ...Το να προσβάλεις τον άλλο δεν λύνει το πρόβλημα...Και δεν σου φαίνεται αντιφατικό το γεγονός ότι δεν θες ένωση αλλά δουλεύεις στην Ελλάδα..Δεν θες ένωση αλλά τιμάς τους Έλληνες ήρωες...Δεν θες ένωση αλλά σηκώνεις την Ελληνική σημαία δεν θες ένωση αλλά λες τον εθνικό μου ύμνο..Και μην αναφέρεις το παραμυθάκι για Γερμανίες και Ιταλίες γιατί εκεί θα ήσουν αν πραγματικά μπορούσες..Και αυτά τα είχες και πριν την ΕΕ....

'Εχουν περάσει 10 μήνες αλλά πρέπει να σου απαντήσω. Καταρχήν δεν με ενδιαφέρει για ποιο λόγο διαφωνούσες με τον βλάκα. Αυτό που θέλω να σε ρωτήσω είναι γιατί διαχωρίζεις τους Κύπριους από τους 'Ελληνες. Οι Κύπριοι είναι 'Ελληνες. Υπάρχει ο όρος Ελλαδίτης για τους Έλληνες που κατοικούν στο κράτος που σήμερα ονομάζεται Ελλάδα. Μάλλον δεν γνωρίζεις ότι η κυπριακή διάλεκτος έχει πιο πολλά κοινά με τα αρχαία ελληνικά παρά η νέα ελληνική. Αν δεν είμαστε εμείς Έλληνες τότε ποιοι είναι;

this movie represents 18th century.
at this time there were not turkey, cyprus and greece. there was Ottoman empire.
so it s absolutely normal that one of the ottoman sailon speaks turkish and the other one greek....
the most famous ottoman pirates the Barbarossa brotheres were born in today's greek island lesbos, their father was turkish and mother greek, and so there were many ottoman sailors which had greek origins or turkish origins.
so don't mix today's position with 18th century

when i first saw that (at the cinema) i could not understand what they were saying in the first place. it took me couple of seconds till i got it. but that was awesome. as a turkish cypriot, i was over rejoiced after i noticed. very professional film adaptation.

i still dont understand what the intention of that scene is...i mean we know that cypriot greeks and cypriot turks aren't friends bur in this scene they share the same boat or ship or whatever and they have an argument which reflects the political reality according to me cause they are enable to share the hat..but i still dont understand what the message of that scene is and why the producers of the film put a scene like that into the film at all...

Greeks and Turks dont 'argue over details'.Half of Cyprus has been illegally occupied by Turkey since 1974 . Greek and Turkish Cypriots are the same. Don't confuse them with people from Greece or Turkey. Turkey is the oppressor. Turkish and Greek are completely different languages, apart from some shared words and accents in Cypriot.

part 1 of 2: Turkey only came to intervene when the greek army did a coupe to cyprus and mind you the greek army was killing greek and turkish cypriots although the greek army did order some greek cypriots that were blood thirsty to save the lives of some turkish cypriots to exchange with greek cypriots.

Turks ethnically cleansed Armenians in a genocide they wont admitt to and the whole of Northern Cyprus of Greek Cypriots! Turkish cypriots can live wherever, greek cypriots are never able to go back to live on their land.Maybe if Turkey stopped bullying and cleaned up their awful human rights record they may have a chance of joining the EU. The Greek and Turkish Cypriots don't even give a shit anymore they just wanna live their lives in peace. Peaceful and fair reunification. I encourage you to research that.

The EU is by no way a "statue of wisdom". Turks are not nuts about joining the EU - that is only the matter of politicians. Most Turks are against the EU because EU is hypocrite. They attempt to teach "peace, human rights, freedom of speech", etc... on one hand and on the other hand, they secretly support terrorism, live off weapon trade, etc...

@hessianmercenary I always wondered why the Turks wanted to join a group of countries that hate their guts! It now makes sense to me, personally i think they're much better off without the EU! There was a time when I thought that they should not get in for political reasons, then I decided that they and the EU deserved one another, but now I'm thinking, they don't need the EU caus they'll be better off trust me on this one!
