  • I think the clarification should be made, Obama is the first black ( constitutional ) president.

  • thats whites tried to give blacks black histoy month because they know that all hisory is really black history and all the great inventions like science math armies navys claculations, roman numerals astronomy asrology came from us. we ruled during the dark ages and create the white race to be our slaves. for karmas sake, they know that all great empires like ours must come to an end and that all reap what they sew, so to supress their future punishment they try nd do a few good for blacks.

  • According to this urban myth, John Hanson of Maryland was actually black, and also the first President of the United States. Again, don't take my word, it's in the Harold Washington Chicago Public Library. Frankly, doesn't it seem odd believed..that a jet-Black man would be at the pinnacle of power in the United States in the late 1700s .... AND THERE STILL BE SLAVES??

  • @DLSpearmanPresents

Yeah it's the lulz because Hanson had a portrait done in 1760, he's of English heritage and clearly not black.

Being president of the Continental Congress meant he officiated over the proceedings, called it to order, recognized motions, etc, but it WAS NOT the same as being President Of The United States and being head of the executive branch, the office did not exist until 1788 when the constitution became ratified, these people are retarded.

  • John Hanson (d. c. 1860) was an African American associated with the American Colonization Society, which sought to relocate black Americans in Liberia. Liberia was established in Africa during the administration of President James Monroe. Mr. Hanson served as a senator from Grand Bassa County. This same Senator Hanson has been confused with an earlier John Hanson, a white politician from Maryland who served as President of the Continental Congress during the American Revolution.

  • It makes "us" appear unlearned and given to 'tales' when gross errors are paraded as fact and truth. With our rich history, we don't have to grasp onto 'legends'. We can be as smart as our Harvard-educated (first Black) President Obama AND be as accurate and spot-on-target correct as others are with theirs when it comes to our sacred and diverse legacy. Our story must be right if we intend to re-teach it to our children.

  • CURBING MISINFORMATION AND LEGENDS--

My Response to A Rapidly Circulating Post:

It would be an insult to his memory so I MUST state....THIS MAN IS JOHN HANSON, however, the FACTS bear witness he was a Liberian Senator, circa 1850s.

HE WAS NOT THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!

    Hear me out, please:

  • TO THIS DAY!

  • Thank you......Even a white man will admit to the truth...! There are some hateful people comment box....lol

  • The first president of the United States was Peyton Randolph.

  • Check out this there were 2 John Hansons the first President of the Continental Congress was White the other one even moved back to Africa later on in his life! The other Hanson bought his freedom and wanted to take all Africans back to Africa he would of been a Great first President of the Africans. America would have been better off if he did take you all back to Africa.

  • @Mattthemangler America would be a much even better place if you all had stayed home in europe. I cant believe people like you still exist die already.

  • Ask yourself's this any time history as been left out its because they are hiding something. Use your intelligence not your ignorance. In most cases the first is usually the most influential, and colour does matter the true is the true. If you don't tell all the story then its a lie. Peace always

  • "A Moor" source is inaccurate... the picture of a black Liberian named John Hanson... fact: pictures were NOT invented at the time John Hanson, a white man like it or not, served as president under the Articles of Confederation.

  • @westernciviliznation hahaha but painted portraits did exist!

  • @killablack20 re "painted portraits"... interesting. so what do you think?... black or white?... or maybe it doesn't matter, and maybe what does is his character?

  • Thanks for the information. It is a Joy to LEARN things of the Past that I did not know. I would think all would look @ learning something that is true & researching rather then being lost & lack of truth. Peace & Love

  • Present your proof and evidence that President John Hanson was a Moor.

  • @vegasview77 Is it not funny that the arrogance you display as YOU TUBE USER to ask someone to provide proof? The question is can you prove otherwise? If you do not know how often History was re-written? It was written more then the Bible you need to look deeper. Color is the BIGGEST division Today. Peace

  • @pnpink248

I'm not the person making the claim BRAINIAC!! If he is saying John Hanson is Black then PROVE IT!!

  • @vegasview77 Hey I know this off topic but please check out the video irish origins of civilization on youtube and listen to this nonsense new ager Michael Tsarion.

  • @vegasview77 OMG! lol I did not know you were on You Tube! lmao I LUV to mess with PPL! But, we both know you can prove this, that is why I said to debunk him. Psss Thanks for the compliment. But, I did not believe I would ever see you lose your cool??? lol

  • Great video! Is the only way we know that John Hanson was a black man is because of the term moor?....or was it that one of his parents was black?

  • What in the hell make you asses think that every black man over hear in this land had to be a slave during those times?! Pick up a book and check out the history of the moors , and then get back at me.
