@chasinmichigan I use Camtasia Studio 7, it's not free, but it works extremely well. Much better over programs like HyperCam or that free one. :P

It's also pretty good for editing. 10x better than Windows Movie Maker.

I do this but the settings don't save... whenever I turn the program off the problem comes back the next time I use my webcam.

thanks man evry thing else ppl said to do did not work from uninstaling the youcam program to uninstaling the cam itself and reinstaling then to even replacing the drivers. this workied perficly.

I have the same problem on my Sager NP5170 / ClevoW170HN, I installed the program but Exposure and Low Light Compensation are greyed out in the Camera Control ): I have an integrated Bison Cam NB Pro

Good tutorial. The low light compensation box is what causes the lag. Have you found a way to keep the capture bright when the box is unchecked yet? I have been trying this entire week. Getting pissed off now.
