Well I hate to break it to you but yes, the fact that they are all Christians does mean they're trying to praise Jesus. Of course there are a few songs in there that are more about human stuff, but many have very deep and emotional implications about God. Their lyrics are pretty abstract usually, so there's s lot of room for interpretation.
