After my Freshman year in HS, I moved over to Cross Country - much less risky. A lot happens to a young guy between the ages of 13 and 15. I didn't grow as much physically as other guys. However, if you are playing AYF, I think it would better prepare you for that transition. It won't be so shocking when you get to high school.

@TheR3tzo I've no doubt that the experience you get in AYF will give you advantages you might not get playing Pop Warner. Playing against bigger and stronger kids can help you up your game. I played Pop Warner for four years. Then I went into High School and played on the Frosh football team. That was a huge leap because most of the guys were a lot bigger than me. In Pop Warner we were all roughly the same size and weight. Speed and quickness made the difference on the field.

My question is not whether or not under Armour AYF is better than Pop Warner, my question is how do the rate of injuries compare? Are more kids getting hurt in UAAYF than PW? Is the other way around or no difference at all?
