It´s not 11 minutes in one go, it´s more like 30 second parabolic flights over and over again. Oh, and by the way, porn in zero-g has been made, "The Uranus Experiment" from 1999.
what a shame. they're mining rich people's extra cash. 11 minutes for 3.8K. that's bullshit.
how much fuel the engines burn for that one flight, i bet not more than a flight from europe to asia. plus one specialized pilot, few instructors, some nets, fancy uniform, empty cabin. yeah they have to take less passengers but still what the fuck.
Zero G is just a buzz word. On the International Space station they are still falling towards the Earth, in fact the acceleration due to gravity at the average of their orbit ~440 km is only a fraction less of what we feel at sea level, the trick is that they are falling but missing the earth as they fall due to the stations horizontal speed. On board this plane the whole craft is falling without power, like a broken elevator. and it's not about whether you're in a vacuum or not.
u idiot the plane goes as high as it can and just shuts the engines off and then ure free falling with the plane just that u dont feel all the wind since the plane is there
Thats right and the the plain just shuts the engines off
LMFAO
Zero gravity like the plain is STILL going down toward earth at terminal velocity except the people inside the fusilage dont fell that until............... SPLAT !
Oh I do apologise but the captain forgot to re-engage the engine thrusters LOL.
Yes, because you can hardly hit the velocity for exact zero-gee, but not nearly enough to matter. Space stations have something to the effect of 10^-4 to 10^-6 times Earth gravity. These flights must have more, but what wall you'd drift towards in 15 minutes is irrelevant when the floating only lasts for twenty seconds.
i would actually just do that and take a can of coke or a bag of maltesers and just blow them at people or throw them and see them almost never end till they hit the other side.... or maybe throw 1 up in the air and pump up catching it in my mouth :D
If I spent all that money to do it I wouldn't want soeone holding onto me and supervising that would suck. In the U.S ther is a good zero gravity flight where you are free to do what you want.
IF I'm not mistaken I think they do this by going straight twards the earth or something, and that's why it's so short, it's not like that have a zero-gavity machine lol. I'd pay if I had the spare cash :D
They don't head "straight" towards Earth. They take a path called a parabola. Imagine throwing a baseball up at a 45 degree angle. Notice that curved path that it takes as it changes it's direction and heads back down? That's a parabola. Thet jet flies in a curved path, causing everything inside to become nearly weightless (it's not perfect weightlessness, as there is still quite a bit of drag from the atmosphere). It has to do with centripetal force.
i forgot exactly what company but they offered a bunch of teachers in southern california a free trip into space or well zero gravity shuttles. it was a huge ad thingy but it was free bottom line. haha she also got to keep the space suit they gave her.
Well its actually MUCH safer to do it while in plane, rather than in space. This is because all the planes are inspected part by part and if they don't meet the FAA (Federal Aviation Agency) requirements, then they will postpone the flight in order to fix the issue. I should know this, i study Aircraft Mechanics. Also if you do crash, you shouldn't worry you'd be dead and be covered up!
Must be an amazing experience. If I had the bucks I would cough it up even if it is just eleven minutes. What's up with that magnificent song though? Anyone out there know the name or who it's by?
no no no not cool. if it was cool it would be cheaper than 3,800 dollars just for 11 minutes. and with 3,800 dollars you can go a total of between 2 hours up.
