I really cant explain (particularly to non-musicians) how aggravating it is to see the crowd go nuts over a snare drummer twirling his sticks, no matter how complicated the rudiment is, it gets no credit. As soon as the piccolos (flutes) stepped back, the crowd went nuts for the snares.
: /
Idk it just kinda sucks when someone does an equally complicated part and gets less credit for it because its less 'flashy'.. you know?
Assuming that over three-hundred million people spread across nearly ten million square kilometers are culturally a single, homogeneous group...
That about sums up Europeans for me.
Wait, I'm an American, I can't possibly know how to use the word "homogeneous" correctly. I'm supposed to be too stupid to tie my own shoes. Oh darn...
thay war the red cots so that thay wud not get micst up with the solders in badle and thay allso wore the oposing colers of them asswell...the soldgers wore blue with red trim and they wore red with blue trim...and i wes thar thet day preforming as well!!
I love seeing the Old Guard perform! it stirs up my patriotic blood every time. God bless America! by the way, those red coats are an AMERICAN uniform. british had red coats with white trim.
Actually, they're not British "Red Coat" uniforms. They are patterned after those worn by the musicians of Gen. George Washington's Continental Army. Military musicians of the period wore the reverse colors of the regiments to which they were assigned. The uniforms worn by the members of the Corps are dated circa 1781, and consist of black tricorn hats, white wigs, waistcoats, colonial coveralls, and red regimental coats.
Thanks VideoVin. Glad to know you don't know what you're talking about, oh great historian. Besides, dip, they are American musicians playing on U.S. soil. So, again, the musicians, the music and their red coats make me feel damn proud to be an American.
Hey, you got that video from Nicole; I was sitting right next to her when she filmed it. She shook the camera a little whenever the kid next to us would scream. That's ok, I'm glad to see it again.
Yeah! What's with that guy having screaming his head off like it's The Beatles at Shea 1964? I thought he was going to run on the field and suck their dicks right there! BTW- just an O.K. performance.

By the way those are British "Red Coat" uniforms, so how does it make you proud to be American? Guess its the thought that counts.

why is everyone shouting over the music...?

Exactly, obnoxiously loud and quite disrespectful. It's not a rock concert.
