There is one fact (Bush mentioned god) that defines the good relationship between our countries. Croatia is and was the most important vatican ally in the region, a wall of catholicizm that shields chrtistian europe fron islam and orthodox church. And all know about Bush and god and christianity as he constantly kept bashing on islamic countries. It not about peace it is still the old fight for power and religion that is going on behind the scenes.

The only problem in Croatian society is the lack of protestantism as one of the main pillars of western civilization, but i hope it will change in future to follow. Furthermore, as you have said, eastern culture, particularly orthodox christianity is a pure poison of this part of world. Islam on the other edge is totalitaristic, shovinistic and hostile, i cannot and will not tolarate this. My point was that the regular Partisan fighters in Croatia started fighting against Mussolini's attempt to annex Dalmatia. The result of Croatia not gaining independence is the unfortunate result. That history made it hard for Croatia to get early assistance in the 1990s - though it eventually came. I am delighted that Croatia - the beautiful and beloved home of my ancestors - is independent, free from communism, and a member of NATO. May it always be so, and be a friend of the US.

Ustase caused a great excuse for Serbs to try to kill us all in the 90's.Partisans weren't communist,only their leaders.People were just forced to fight the fascist Italians and Germans.Ustase were extreme patriots,but exactly because of that they betrayed Croatian people and humanity.

I was told by relatives near Split that all of the men in the town were partisans. The old grave yard there has a plaque commemorating the victims of the "fascista terora" - if I recall the spelling correctly on he plaque. Relatives there related the stories of having to hide in caves from the Nazis or Italian fascists. Italy bombed Spilt - contrary to an old propaganda film that I saw on-line. It didn't work out well perhaps - but certainly many of the partisans were freedom fighters. ZDS.

Our Croatian friends do not know what they being tricked into. NATO is the standing army of the New World Order in which all world power is concentrated into the hands of a few, and our nations are no longer sovereign. Their grandchildren will be taken to fight a war against their own freedom.

As if French grandchildren (or those of any NATO country) have been sent to fight anywhere where their country didn't agree to in the more than 50 years in which France has been protected by the NATO accord. Croatia will be able to withdraw from NATO anytime it wants, but I doubt it will. The security provided Croatia is important. No country will now consider an attack on Croatia, and something like Vukovar will not occur again. NATO does not reduce Croatia's members' sovereignty.
