It's good that you guys were having fun and getting better at shooting but honestly none of you have any idea how to hold a handgun. Maybe the first guy did but I couldn't see his grip. If you want to improve take a basics class.
One thing I can say about any 1911's is the trigger pull is amazing, I'm thinking of purchasing a 1911 in the future, but for now my 357 magnum will do the job against any intruder or bad guy on the streets when I'm ccw.
how is the trigger pull on it? I tend to be a revolver fan beacuse of the decreased Tpul, also glock19 have like ~6lbs Tpul, and I am interested in a taurus 1911 and wonder how they pull. any issues with JHPs on this model? looks like you were using FMJs by the holes in the paper.
@caatabatic The trigger pul is decent on the PT1911. I am not sure of the exact trigger pull is but it is lighter than my Glock 19 and 27. I have a Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II and the trigger pull is significantly lower than the PT1911
@caatabatic those targets just make the bullet holes look bigger so you can see the target holes from a greater distance plus a jhp wouldnt open up on paper. Anyway get this gun! I have 2 in stainless and i've owned many high end 1911's and its unbelievable bang for the buck, its great at any price. Built as well as ones that cost 2 to 3 times more and you have the looks, accuracy, and reliability. People will hate on it because they hear from others who've never owned one sayin taurus is crap
Yea they don't like when people rapid fire. It is the only indoor range that has had an issue with it that I have gone to. I agree the PT1911 is a great pistol and at the price point it is hard to beat.
I got talked to for rapid fire at an out door one, Its too easy to get carried away with a Tec-22 30rnd magazine. :P I always figured "IF you are missing your target you are shooting too fast" :)
You are not able to now. I recorded this several months back but I have seen other people doing it also. I don't know if they put the signs up after seing several people videoing. I do it so I can see what I need to do to improve. But yes I agree it is the best indoor range around and the people are very friendly.
Some real good shooting.I love to see young Ladies getting into the shooting sport.Great video.5*s. I'm going through your videos now and really like them.Thanks.
Thank you! I try to get as many of my female friends to go shooting with me. Shooting to me is something that everyone should know how to do just like driving a manual. You never know when you will need the skill. Thanks for all the kind comments and I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos!
Never shot a Taurus. For an affordable 1911 I'd go Kimber Custom II. For an awesome 1911 I'd go Springfield TRP. My carry gun is a Glock 19. Best pistol ever.
I have ordered the Kimber Crimson Ultra Carry II but have not gotten it yet. I was looking at the Springfield TRP and I will probably get that in the future!
there is nothing wrong with the taurus pt 1911 i have put over 2 to 3000 rounds in mine and glock is a great gun but not the best and i would like to see some videos of your guns
I decided I will do videos of my guns but they wont be up for awhile. I need to find a place/way to do my videos that suits firearms (i.e. safe, and easy to record since my shotguns and rifles are longer and hard to keep in frame). But videos will be up soon...
the pt 1911 is an awesome gun. Remove the taurus name and it could be confused with 1911's which cost twice as much. Check out my gun vids see what you think!
Uhhh, this makes me jealous. I can't wait until a few months down the road when I can purchase my first pistol. I'm thinkin' Keltec PF9 or an XD 9 SC. Nice videos like always man.
Thanks for the kind comment! I really liked the Keltec PF9... It had a lot of punch for a small package. It is relatively inexpensive also so that is a plus!

I wonder at which threshold they deem firing to be "rapid"?
bob24479 2 years ago
Usually it means no more than one round per second.

hey are you shooting at classic pistol range
DICKROD9 2 years ago
I am indeed. Classic Pistol in Pennsylvania. Do you shoot there also?
edgedweapon88 2 years ago
Yea, best indoor range in the area. Well, thats what i think. I didn't know you were allowed to bring cameras.
