Shes very good....I like her alot. But she doesnt have that warmth of tone that Bartoli has that just seeps into your bones.....Julias voice is on the shrill side...she sounds like the Sops of the olden days (along the likes of Callas)...still shes very talented

Surprisingly good, a real talent. The first time I've heard her. I don't find her voice shrill at all, rather mellow and pleasant. The only thing that hurt my ear was her struggle with the Italian accent (irata stela instead of stella, etc.). Part of Bartoli's brilliance is articulation in her own lanugage. But Lezhneva is definitely good.

L'ho ascoltata l'anno scorso a Pesaro in quel mezzo sciagurato Stabat Mater, e devo dire, con dispiacere, che la voce si perdeva!

non si può giudicare il volume e la potenza di una voce da un video, soprattutto perchè ha un microfono davanti!!!

occorre studiare, studiare e ancora studiare! Per carità, ha 18 anni (adesso 19); spero consideri questo un punto di partenza e non di arrivo!!!

Then, the Prima-Donna's vocal folds harden considerably, and they become suited for VERISMO arias (after 1840). This applies for Tenors and Mezzo-Soprano also.

I don't agree, do not think it is wrong for an 18 year old at all, one number here and she has the runs perfectly / amazing but of course a microphone but if she got this far she can probably carry fine without it, the room probably had poor not voice friendly accoustics. Her other posts where not quite as good as this one but hell she is only 18 so she is still very good. Some bigger names could not do as well in those runs.

La voce è di bel timbro e ben impostata. Anche la tecnica è buona. Si consideri che sono arie scelte per un concorso, dove arie così complesse consentono di dimostrare le possibilità di una voce che dovrà essere guidata ancora a lungo per consolidarsi in un repertorio che le darà forse maggiori soddisfazioni in un futuro ambito da lirico pieno che non di coloratura.

La voce non è affatto ingolata e chi lo dice farebbe bene a farsi una visita audiometrica!

posso essere in accordo con te sui suoni ingolati, ma c'è anche da dire ke nn tutti i soprano a 18 anni affrontano un'aria del genere e con molta dignitosità, insomma diciamo che è cantata discretamente considerando le colorature; meglio questa cmqpiuttosto che i singhiozzi e i gorgheggi della bartoli che più ch colorature cono copli di glottide continua che dopo 7 minuti di aria diventano irritanti. Vorrei sentire la meravigliosa Gruberova ke canta quest'aria, sicuramente divina!
