Man, she has graduated as an economist and turned down a job offer from Goldman Sacs and she was about to give her opinion on how the internet could change filmgoing, then Thompson interjects with "you are getting a lot of attention right now in Sundance". Ms Thompson, why do you stop your subjects right when they are about to say something of substance? You did it with Zimmer too. I get that you are a fan, but focusing on all the Hollywood credit and overlooking anything else...
wow, this interviewer is obviously so jealous of Brit! At the end-- "well, you have potential too" after she compares her to miranda july. the interviewer puts her down so many times in this interview, it's ridiculous. at least brit stays nice and tries to give the interviewer the benefit of the doubt. but what a jerk!
@marthaflatley and the interviewer's tone..like only half-way through the interviewer's probably like, thinking to herself, "i can't stand hearing how talented and creative she is..." so she goes, ok, alright thanks for the interview...." and brit marling is more articulate and enthusiastic!
Maybe she could try to emulate Joss Whedon and his dr. Horrible gig, distribution wise. I image she could benefit from some Steam (a video game digital store) analogue for movies, but sadly that does not eactly exist yet.
I could just listen Brit Marling to talk a year in a row.. just love her.
