The only implication I see is that of increased sympathy with von Rompuy, the poor guy. It is true, the only directly elected body of the EU is the Parliament- a major setback for democracy. The relatively more powerful Commission ought to be elected by the people as well.

@ukipwebmaster EU(germany) told that if we dont have a possitive balance statement at 2012 we are out of Eu. At this point you should know that Greece never at its history had possitive balance. In order to succeed this they are gonna put more and more taxes to get the money. We had allready 6 new taxes in 2011 and they are planing new. This happend cause they knew that a lots of black money was in the Greek market. But at this point they allready have collected through the taxes in 2011.

So 2 are the roads the first is to stay in Euro one more years through this taxes and ppl will sturve from now on or we decide by our selfs to leave euro. In my opinion this is the best scenario cause we are gonna have a difficult time the next2-3 years but the country will develop again soon. In the case we stay in Euro poverty and many other bad things will come to Greece for the next 30 years

This man lives in the past. I believe he does not realize how much the Euro has HELPED the world's economy. Each country having it's own currency is a thing of the past, not the future. It impedes the growth of the economy due to fluctuating exchange rates. He is pathetic, stupid and especially rude. This is no way to behave in parliament no matter what you think.

@GambinoBatriani I do agree that as a concept the euro is sound idea, but right now I think everyone thinks "WTF? What did those morons with the euro do?". Assuming the euro survives I think .se and .uk etc might consider joining no earlier than 10-20 years once it is a proven credible currency. Greece, italy etc crises makes the concept of a shared currency a big problem, they can't lower the value! We probably need to learn about pro's and con's from USA which has had shared currency for long.

My only regret is that I didn't have the courage, the guts, the wherewithal, to vote UKIP in the last Election, but I really wish I had. Whilst loving many things about the countries in Europe I really hate the E.U. and believe its days are numbered; at least I hope so.

At this point Greece and other nations in the EU have no chance whatsoever to get out of their economic misery. Greece has 11 million people of which only 4.5 million have any meaning full employment. From that revenue they now owe 350 bln euro having NO chance to pay it off. No future!!!
