Darrin Anthony was the drummer for this album and The Graveyard, and was unable to continue due to injuries sustained in a car crash. The man was a great drummer, but he had a Spinal Tap moment.
No,he does not, trust me.There was no drummer available at the time of the recording. They are programmed.Same goes for "The Eye" and MF's "In The Shadows".
@kabasak Oh, okay, so did he like join after this album was already released then? I read somewhere though that Snowy Shaw did the drums on "In the Shadows", but then again, they said he did for "The Eye" too, which is obviously untrue.
@kabasak are you sure? Indeed, the drums sound too repetitive and mundane! It sounds like a very boring drummer OR somebody writing the drum parts down without being a drummer. The drums sound natural in this recording though man... About The Eye, I 've heard that Snowy actually played on that but the drums were not a wooden kit, something like the roland digital kits...
I have been playing the drums for 20 years , so I can tell a drum machine from a real drummer.Spiders's Lullaby's drumtracks are drum machine.Snowy was one of the best drummers that played with KD/MF,saw him live in Athens 1990,he was killing. The drums on The Eye are definetely NOT him.He played much better than that.
@Spiderguy117 Um, you're citing Dethklok as fast drums? Listen to something like "Overactive Imagination", that's Gene Hoglan, the same drummer, going way faster. Look at Cryptopsy, such as "Crown of Horns".
There's much faster than Dethklok, even from the same drummer.
@kabasak I don't think so. I think that there's something called "triggers". It would be far more obvious if it was drum programming. I just think that the drums are triggered, at least the bass drum, and the cymbals on the album are just kind of quiet.
Corey Beaulieu sent me here. :D

quite simplistic and effective drumming by Darrin Anthony. His style gives way for the music, and supports it.
