Nice looking car. I knew that Chevrolets were sold in Australia, but I've never seen any pics or videos on right-hand drive Chevys. Very nice. I love the two-tone colour.
I live in brisbane and i'm looking for a 59 bel or impala , i see you 4 of them are u looking at selling them or know of any for sale, let me know if you are interested and contact me on here or you have an email for me.Thanks
I'm an American but I live in England & I saw a 1960 Impala 4 dr Hardtop imported from Australia & it was all factory stock & it had right-hand drive. It was interesting seeing a foreign slant on a American car. My dream is to go to Australia & find a '59 Impala 2 dr or Convertible with right-hand drive, if there was such a thing.
A 1959 Impala 2 dr or Convertible with right-hand drive sold locally in Australia? Ho well I wish, Australian were not that lucky , the only 1959 version sold in Australia was the 4 door sedan Bel-Air.
Importing other models such as a convertible was done privately at a great cost and at that time the car would had to be converted locally to a right hand drive prior to registration.
The cae that were sold here came from Canada as Kits , assembly took place in Australia
@che59v Thanks for the info & yes I've seen one of those '59 4 dr sedan Bel-Airs in England with right hand drive so I'm assuming it was brought here from Australia. I've never been to Australia & it's a curiousity to see Americans cars with right hand drive. I find that interesting.
