  • Do u hear that, chickeepoos, that goes for both of us!

  • kd always makes me think of Patsy - both voices so clear as a bell. Beautiful.

  • love this girls voice smooth & swinging, nice version of Patsy's song! thanks 4 posting

  • what a voice, what a womon, what a soul

  • @rainspirit100 what a comment !!

    I'm in total agreement :O)

  • I wish kd picked up the pace a little, like Patsy Cline's version, but this is still very good. I think the faster pace identifies more with the chaos experianced by a person in this situation.

  • Great rendition K.D. Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, that was live. so beautiful. thanks for posting.

  • Sue, if anyone can YOU can. Please upload k.d.'s performance singing "Crying" at the Tribute to Roy Orbison Concert which was the Saturday after the Grammys, 1992.

The 5 minute standing ovation blew us all away, but her performance is the quintessential version to be found anywhere. Young k.d. lang fans need to see it!

  • @caesarmtnmama - Dont think I can , although I have loads of old videos the only reason I've been able to post old footage lately is because I was given a dvd in MPEG4 Format so I was able to save to my hard drive and upload the files. I've tried to upload the rest but have been unsuccessful.

If there's anyone out there who can help that would be wonderful - I'm not very computer literate ;o)

Still have a few more old ones to post .

  • Thanks so much, Sue for all of your wonderfully done videos!! This song is a treasure for sure and your pictures always include some I've never seen or have forgotten about. Thanks for sharing! Oh I also agree with you about joyfullypeaceful's comment about her voice being buttery soft with an edge of steel. That really describes it very beautifully. Shugie

  • @etsmom1217

Hey thank you Shugie - for your lovely comment .

I love how k.d has changed over the years this period of time was certainly the most fun and how many people could have gotten away with sawn off boots and holes in their tights and still look cool !!

  • Sue--

I was so enthralled with k.d.'s vocal here that I forgot to thank you for the k.d.elicious video presentation. Beautifully put together!!! k.d. made the challenge of it easy though, didn't she, since she's so beautifully put together??!!

Oh, and I love k.d.'s little laugh at the beginning!!! She's just enchanting in every way!!!

  • @joyfullypeaceful

Well thank you very much and yes its so easy with such a perfect subject.

I love the little laugh as well - always full of fun.

  • OMG!!! k.d. out-Patsys Patsy!!!

I've never in my whole livin' life heard a voice that does to me what k.d.'s does.

Not quite high enough to be soprano. Not quite low enough to be alto.

Buttery soft with an edge of steel.

    Vulnerability and strength combined.

    And--angel-joy beautiful.

    She rocks my senses.

  • @joyfullypeaceful

I like that - buttery soft with an edge of steel

you have a way with words !!

    Sue

  • Patsy Cline is terrific, but can't hold a candle to kd. But then, no one can.

  • @confused735

k.d is recording a new country album at the moment to be released early next year - cant wait !!

  • Loved it! who are the people in b&w photo near the end?

  • @confused735

k.d was part of a tour in the late 1980's which included various country artists including Lyle Lovett and K.T.Oslin - cant remember the other artists sorry !!

  • I never thought I liked Country music. But beeing a huge fan of kd, I listened to it a lot and now I love it.

  • After krysana and janina I just can tell thank you Sue, it's very beautiful and touching as all your videos. shephren

  • i will love your ss video eternally for at least a few reasons, Sue:

#1 because the song lyrics has unexpectedely received additional very personal meaning that hasnt existed before

    # 2 because i simply loved this song when Patsy made it

    # 3 i can compare these 2 great singers in 1 song making it in so different way: Patsy Cline interpreting it as a mature, experienced woman, kd singing it as if it was a young girl singing out her pain, not knowing colors of life as it brings.

    you put a spell

  • thanks sue ~ i love k.d. doing country. i wouldn't mind her doing an album of all patsy cline song's. she sings this with such passion and that voice. another wonderful slideshow as well. x

  • pretty amusing

  • Lovely work Sue... very nice.

  • Wow, what a voice! Thankyou for posting.
