There is no need to "revert to such life" because Native Americans all through out the country have had to find a balance between traditional ways and European culture. I do believe that Europeans have a great influence on the modern ways of Native Americans, but to say that American Indians no longer exist as a way of life is an extremely harsh and untrue idea.

Amerindians no longer exist as a way of life. The culture has been so thoroughly influenced via european culture and the progression through time that both amerindian and europeans experienced together that make them citzens of U.S. I think the culture could be somewhat restored, but I have yet to meet a "native" that wants anything to do with reverting to such a life. They love technology, make-up, fast-food, etc... I would like to try it. Let me know if you know of a place.

If you go to Navajoland (aka Navajo Reserve), there are many very traditional elders.
