I like the idea not to emulate the Genesis sound, but to go for a more contemporary "unplugged/back to the roots" thing including a real string quartet. Unfortunately they sound really bad (near the beginning sounds like some notes are wrong. Might be the monitoring. I also think that the original Genesis sound is very much part of this. Tony's keyboards and Phil's voice are pure magic - this version sounds just like another folk rock song. Sorry....

I must say, Ray ads a different sound to G. The music is timeless. I still prefer Phil in the lead but I'm OK with Ray on vocals. I normally don't like when the lead singer is replace but somehow hearing CAS first opened the door. Journey definitely did it better with Arnel.

I've always loved the way Genesis played this with Ray on board (at least for the one Tour he was there). I wish he wasn't STILL milking from the band's songbook, but what he does...he does very well.

Ray Wilson is much better on his own. I had never heard of him before he was with Genesis very briefly.

His style really doesn't fit in with the Genesis sound.

He's excellent on his own with his own style.

You guys should really get out more...Ray is a pathetic musician.songwriter and the cheese that flows out his mouth is something Ricky Gervais touches upon with characters like Dvid Brent, if you like him then you are cheese!!

@Invereview Hey Mr Invereview !!! I think you have some problems. If you don't like Ray's voice then you don't know nothing about voices. Ray has a great voice. Phil Collins is just a brand, he has the name.....but as a singer, Ray is without any doubt better. Phil Collins is a good drummer and composer, but Ray is a great voice.

i hope so, but i doubt it.

In many ways hes better here than he ever was with genesis so i dont think hed want to go back, or the band accept him for that matter.
