with assass. go with 2 daggers, a slow one in your main hand and a fast one in your off. with combat it depends on what you like. either from 2 swords, fist weapon and dagger, or maces or axes. i roll 2 dps specs, assassination, and combat. my combat i have 2 axes. one slow, one fast.
Side note haha: DONT use shiv its a waste, your talent tree offers many poison upgrades, one of them increasing the chance to apply poisons with ur off hand (main hand=instant poison, offhand= Deadly poison) shiv is a waste :D
@1Wootman get master poisoner and get slow main hand fast off hand and apply deadly poison main hand and instant offhand. gives gd move damage and poison damage and weps are more about dps then damage per hit
My rogue averages 6 - 7.2k dps on heroic / raid bosses. Heres my rotation and tips: Garrote / HfB / Mut x1 / SnD / Mut x2 Rupture / Mut x2 Envenom *tip: NEVER use evisecrate, its a waste and dps killer* (repeat the Mut x 1-2 depending on CP and envenom dumps, until rupture needs to be refreshed. Snd will refresh if your spec'd correctly everytime u envenom. *tip: gem for crit / hit / agil. the average hit rating for mut rogues is 10% or 350+ HR. Good luck rogues, good vid :D
You dont use evescerate because its not in the mut rotation haha, Envenom is your main focus, it ignores a targets armor, hence why you dont gem for armor pen. Evescerate wont play off your talent build for mut, enevenom is by far your best bet, if your not hitting higher with it, check your build :D
@danny8404 because not only if u spec into it does envenom hit harder than eviserate, it adds a buff which increases the chance t apply poisons by 50% and 75%(basically 100% because theres already over 50% chance to apply poisons if correctly specced) for 7 seconds and thats where the real dps comes from.
@1Wootman thats good exept for rupture. armory Nautious of Illidan. that spec is the new best. i did a quick dps for 51.13.7 on boss dummy and was pulling avg 4.4k. i switched to my current spec and was pushing 5k. VERY simple rotation for that spec aswell. garrote-hfb-mut-snd-4+cp envenom spam. if needed, pop a rupture to get another hfb up but thats it. also you wont need snd glyph because u will be envenoming so much so u can put FoK glyph in for aoe dps
@heviopa dont gem armor pen. with the envenom spec arm pen is pointless becuase it already ignores armor because it is considered a poison. gem some agil and mostly attack power. you want your crit chance around 41-44% unbuffed
with the buff blizz put on envenom your dps will go through the roof. especially if you have someone to focus target and cast ToT. i usually start off with a garrote, hit hfb, hit snd, and if i get another cp pop a quick rupture then spam my mute for more cp. with lvl 200 purps i can get 4.3k. hit rating is very nice though. im specc'd 51/13/7 as well.
Get hit capped, and go in stealthed, garrote, hunger for blood, slice and dice, then evescriate ( if you have the talent it should replace your slice and dice to 20 seconds) Then you mutilate when you get 5 combo points rupture. You basicly want to have slice and dice, and hunger for blood on you, why having rupture on the target and spamming mutilate, when your hunger for blood runs out, your rupture will put a bleed. anytime you use envenum or evisterate your slice and dice refreshes. :O
people cant complain about mutilate rogues dps as they can easily out dps combat rogues, depending on the fight ofc, and pump out over 9k dps, the only spec u cant raid with is sub, spot on rotation mate =)
Just saying, <3 that, but if there is an elemental shaman in grp and a Enh shaman too, take off the Instant, and possibly replace with another DP, as IP will use the stormstrike charges that would be otherwise better spent on the ele shaman LB and CL. Other than that, perfect!
@bbqbeefcraft You want Deadlypoison on your main hand because you have more successful attacks thereforce a better chance for deadly poison to proc on the target.

Thats because ur rotation is not perfect.. i have found a perfect roation and even in my old 78 blue pvp gear it works well to be 2k+ dps at times.. in my main set of gear im pulling 5k+ dps with this rotation

Rouge makes lesser DMG but pwn's DKS in duel etc.. they dont hit very much all time but i'm pretty sure they can Cheapshot+kidney shot u untill ur dead. :P only class 2 classes they cant takes is " Disc Priest & Warrior becouse of the slam ;)

lolo u don't need to get more than 315 hit rating. it is cap for yellow attacks. Cap for white attacks is about 800 and it is too foolish to get it. if u have 315-320 hit rating then put gems and etc to agilla or crit or expertise. u need to get cap of expert)
No, the 26% is the correct hit cap. And yes, it does need 800 hit rating, so no one goes for it. But thats for melee white damage, yellow damage has a much lower cap.

Mainhand Instant Poison, Offhand Deadly Poison.
Rotation:
* Ensure that there is a bleed (ie. Rupture, Deep Wounds, Rend) on the target.
* Start up Hunger for Blood.
* Start up Slice and Dice however you please, really.
1. Mutilate to 4+ Combo Points
2. Make sure Hunger for Blood isn't going to drop soon. Refresh it if it will.
3. Is Rupture up? If yes, Envenom. Go to step 1.
4. Does Slice and Dice have >12 seconds left? If no, Envenom. Go to Step 1.
5. Rupture. Go to Step 1.

Rouge makes lesser DMG but pwn's DKS in duel etc.. they dont hit very much all time but i'm pretty sure they can Cheapshot+kidney shot u untill ur dead. :P only class 2 classes they cant takes is " Disc Priest & Warrior becouse of the slam ;)

Actually you dont need poison hitcap to pwn.... I have 306 hit rating and i missed only one of 298.... So not that important

Btw .. i do 2.8k dps on that dummy with 100 hit rating xD .. ( my daggers are a "titansteel shranker with mongoose enchant" on it and a "webbed death with berserker" on it )

lolo u don't need to get more than 315 hit rating. it is cap for yellow attacks. Cap for white attacks is about 800 and it is too foolish to get it. if u have 315-320 hit rating then put gems and etc to agilla or crit or expertise. u need to get cap of expert)

Hit cap for rogues is higher than other melee dps. You have to hit cap your MH/OH and poisons.

No, the 26% is the correct hit cap. And yes, it does need 800 hit rating, so no one goes for it. But thats for melee white damage, yellow damage has a much lower cap.
