@neo00779 the idea of fried chicken was that when they were making the song they done take with lyrics from a Chinese menu and fried chicken was left in
@baileywoodroffe I agree, and this concert has the best version of A Kind of Magic. This one and "Live at The Bowl" are the best concerts in my opinion.
It would've been fantastic if it were shot in 16:9 but there's little reason to hope so. Since this is a recent re-master they would've just gone ahead and released it in 16:9, I think. Maybe I'm wrong. :-S
"no....this is a remaster from the DVD release, not from the original recording that the hungarian TV did "
I;m confused (sorry :P)
Just to make sure we mean the same thing by "remastering", it is my understanding that process means going back to the original raw footage and redoing the editing from scratch - exactly repeating the original cut. Anything short of that doesn't count as remastering AFAIK.
It's all piling up that we will never t see this in 16:9.
@wakeupfist@SergiuliKa25 It really won't matter since it was shot on 35mm Film, When it gets a blu-ray release it will be re-framed for 16:9 so while we may lose some picture at the top and bottm, we will gain more picture at the sides. This was originally filmed with a theatrical release in mind (in Hungary) and so it was always intended to be seen in widescreen.
If I may be technically anal and precise, cropping by definition only looses picture. So in that regard we do not gain anything. However, in terms of the eventual delivered width being 1920px, if cropped to 16:9AR, as opposed to 1440px, if left at 4:3AR, yeah, in that sense the remaining good part is preserved at a higher resolution (We "gain" 480px).
Well, obviously not widescreen. (I wish). As we can see the aspect ration is 4:3 since it was primarily destined for VHS. Nevertheless, it was in fact shot on 35mm film and I saw it in a movie theater when I was 8
WOW. This particular performance is just mindblowing. As Queen have ALWAYS put on the best live show, this one seems more energized. Their stage presence and sound are at max potential, I'm wondering, and please forgive me if I'm wrong, was this at the beginning of the Magic tour, or is this the first time they played Budapest? They just seem to be putting more into this performance. There really WAS magic in the air that night!! Miss you Freddie. Rock In Peace bro.
