  • just tell me where to get a fiberglass copy of that cool lookin shell... the rest i can build myself..... i suck at fiberglassing.

  • @unclesonnyonutube we've transferred the tooling for this bodywork to preble high school in green bay, wisconsin. they've got a lot of talented and enthusiastic kids building race cars of various kinds. just google their site then go under activities-motorsports. if you get in touch with them they may be able to help you out

  • @unclesonnyonutube see the jan 20 entry on the dp1/e blog at dpcars.net. there is a link on that page.

  • Brammo was in the news this week regarding their partnership with Flextronics in developing the power packs for their new electric bikes. Their development work would tie in well with what you're doing with the dp1/e - do you guys still keep in touch?

  • @nderwater i haven't talked to Craig in several months, we are all quite busy with our projects, but there's been talk about collaboration between some oregon EV companies so that may happen down the road.

  • Awesome

  • nice gloves. how does the regen braking work? does it kick in when the accelerator pedal is released or when the brake pedal is pressed?

  • @tahn07 regen is fully programmable and can respond to any combination of throttle pedal movement, brake pedal movement and brake line pressure. we are evaluating a number of different algorithms.

  • it's just wierd almost, to watch this video and never see you grab a gear!

  • @gtuning1984 not having a multi-speed gearbox does limit performance significantly. we are currently working on a couple different solutions to this.

  • I really want to drive one of these.

  • @hhslf we will eventually be making vehicles available for purchase that are based on the technologies being developed here. this car, however, is only a prototype and will remain that.

  • how many amps is this monster drawing?

its just screaming along!!!! amazing just amazing what electric can do!

  • @tarsman013 we are currently limited to about 200 amps peak / 150 sustained by the battery. motor and controller can take over 300A.
