@wtf000000000000 Yup I have! I tried the HS-55 servo, and it was NOT very good for Gen 1. It turned too slow, the Gen 1 servo might not turn far, but it the motor inside turned much quicker than the HS-55 servo. I don't know what I'd recommend besides a tight turn mod for Gen 1. The servo is actually pretty good already, just needs help from tight turns to be great :D
@0WhiteCharisma0 thanks, good to know. cuz i was planning to replace the stock servo with some servo that Hobby King sells for cheap. So other than tight turn mod(i don't want to solder thingsXD), will running 2s 7.4v lipo give me 'tight turn' ?
@wtf000000000000 no it won't, adding more power doesn't add more power the the turning, it'll actually make it more jittery because it has more volts running through it. It has to do with the resistors on the part of the board that controls the servo.
@crashcar5523 Better than both, because compared to an xmods receiver, the micro-t receiver is overall more powerful and has much more precision in its handling. The throttle response and turning response can be tuned to your liking as well from the remote. Overall its the remote that wins the battle because it gives you more tools for handling and control. Once you experience it you'll know why I've swapped so many boards on my cars ;)
@crashcar5523 You can find a lot of them on eBay for reasonable prices. Try finding nitrorchobbies on eBay. In my update video to this tutorial, they sent me one for about $33 shipped and it came really fast!! I definitely recommend buying from them on eBay.
@beastxmoder Do it up man!!! It's definitely worth it with the performance increase you get. Just be careful though!!! You can easily fry the board if you don't have proper soldered connections. Remember to double check everything and to only put batteries in when you know everything looks good!! Good luck!!
do you have any drifting xmods for sale

would you say that that this is better than tight turns and stacking fets or are they pretty much equal for performance?
