Actually, Herve was on a bunch of prescription meds due to a condition related to his dwarfism. Basically, his internal organs had grown too big for his ribcage and the internal pressure caused him all kinds of constant pain. It eventually got so bad he could only sleep in a sitting position, and was one of the main reasons he decided to commit suicide.
