In Australia we only plough 100mm-200mm mostly. How often do you plough so deep? Is the purpose to break the clay? I have seen sand be spread over clay soil here, then worked in.
Sorry for arguing with you, but the goal of this deep ploughing is to lift up the sandy soil, so the 1.20m you mentioned is the minimal depth for this kind of ploughing...
Compare only the rear tractor wheel, with the upper plough body.
This is MUCH deeper than 1m. The first furrow goes ~180cm deep, and the second furrow plows the land in, so the tractor can make annother pass. The last furrow goes ~1m deep, but the first is much deeper than that...
I know how it works, cuz i was filming it... and you're right. It was deeper than 1m but nothing near 180.. I was even able to look over the implement when it was plowing (I'm 206cm :P). The farmer said the sandy soil started at 1,20m. I guess it was something like 140
what it this good for????

its sea-land, the best soil sits deeper!

why? the plow is home made? Why not just use a normal plow? This must be some kind of plowing just for fun. Again, what are you people doing?
