A cover isn't supposed to sound exactly the same as the original, the band covering it is supposed to do it in their own individual style, which Machine Head has done very well here. Jimi Hendrix's cover of All Along The Watchtower is considered one of the best covers of all time but no-one trashes that because it doesn't sound like the Bob Dylan version.
