@thedrivechannel there is a legend about one of the Cerbera speed 12's race engines that the TVR guys strapped it to the dyno and it broke the dyno and they had to test each bank of that monstrous and sadistic V12 seperately to get the power and then they doubled it to get the over all power it was 480bhp per bank meaning 960bhp total output and more torque to restart the universe thats what the guys from blackpool did they made a car built to restart the planet in a shed in Blackpool!!
Another road-going one is being re-built right now in the UK. TVR have an active club, thousands of cherished cars being used every day, a race series, and many many fans. The Russian **** who bought, and then let the company go to rack and ruin still owns the name, but now the factory in Blackpool England has been demolished, unfortunately another great British sports car manufacturer has ceased to exist. :( . I have owned 4 TVRs, and I plan to own more in the future.
There is only one way to describe this car... Fear Personified. Or Obscene would also be an apt description, as "brutish" is way too soft for this vehicle.
I have stood next to this very car in person, as it revved, and I would NEVER get in it while moving!
Of all the exotic, fast, and crazy cars I have been able to see, ride in, or drive... this one scares the whimpering shit out of me.
Love it especially as the Tuscan at 12 seconds is mine!!!! Where did you guys at Drive channel get that photo from? I think it was taken at the Highland Hoon 2009 in Ullapool.
@oil3616 The Swordfish car well one of them and the one that carries the plate "w998afr" Is on the road and the chap is a TVRCC member i seen the car in blackpool a couple of years ago stunnning
Loved TVR's since a kid. Bought my first one, a Wedge, in 1998. Since then had a Chimaera from 2003 to 2007 followed by a year 2000 Tuscan purchased in 2006 which wrote off in 2009. I replaced that one with an absolutely beautiful 2006 Mk 2 Tuscan Convertible, one of only about 100 made. I've just added a 1998 Chimaera to my garage.
Id never heard of TVR till I started playing Gran Turismo years ago (first playstation mind you) Once I learned more about them I grew to love em. Last I heard think some young Russian kid had bought the company. John travolta I also think owns a Griffith but don't quote me.
i think this channel should stay as is... im learning so much more from this channel, especially with rarities. PLUS (not that im not a fan of FLD or other similar channels) i see sophistication from the drive channel, and a bit of class. im just saying.
@otropeon Also I want to find one or two talents that can do that. I need people younger than me. I dive in on things that are more racing related. It just worked out that I was born into both the weird car world and auto racing. We're looking for someone, and another who speaks Colombian level Spanish.
Very well presented. Thank you.

The Drive Channel understood and captured the love (some off) us Brits have for these cars.
Mr Travolta has a Mk1 Tuscan from the Swordfish film. I understand that Mr Leno also has one.
