This is a great song and would make a wonderful anthem for Scotland. I remember in 1992, attending a march and rally for a Scottish parliament. All the political parties were there ( well not the Tories, of course) and typically trying to score points off each other. Then Hamish Henderson took the platform and sang this song and saved the day. Iain Mackintosh was a fine singer and like Hamish, is sadly missed.
I listened to this and immediately thought "That's not Hamish Imlach". So I checked my LP collection, and can see what has happened. This track from the album "A Man's a Man" has Iain MacKintosh doing the vocals. Hamish sings on some of the other tracks on the album. Nice pictures, by the way.
