  • I hate having a super popular name....if you don't want your child to go by first name last initial for their entire school years choose a variant, also my name was the 14th most common girl name of the year so I wouldn't even choose a name that's in the top 20. Believe me I hate being known as my first name last initial at school

  • actually my name is emily and im from north america and i've never had another emily in my class or grade through school which i kinda find odd since its a popular name

    and i want to add that my dad wanted to name me ashley but when i was born the name was too popular so they named emily and then that turned out to be the popular name

  • Tell me about it I grew up in England and the popular name for when I was born was first name Emma middle name Louise weird enough 3 people in elementary and five in high school that I knew were called Emma Louise H. so we all had to be told by our last names which sucked when I have kids theyre having unique names

  • haha yeah Emma is my name, its very very popular there were 6 other Emma's not including me in my class at school, and im 20, so it was obviously very popular when I was born. I often use my middle name along with my 1st to make it sound different, so i go by Emma Victoria, just to stand out from the other Emmas around!

    I'm from Australia and there are definitely a HEAP of Jacks!! Quite a few Ellas as well, but definitely more Jacks.
