@audrey1256 puppies to learn need positive reinforcment. when they do the correct action they need to be rewarded. But for this to work it has to be inmediate. when the actions are easy food works fine, but for more complex actions or the puppy is more far away a clicker works best.
The dog will hear the clicker and he will now he did the right thing and that in a while we will get food.
