@vicioussion If you made that argument about 6 years ago, I'd agree, but it's nothing more than the internet nerds perpetuated excuse for hating John Cena. I'm not a huge Cena fan either, but if you actually payed much, if any attention at all, you'd realize Cena does more diverse, albeit unorthodox moves than most people. More to the point, some internet nerd will also try and say Rock and Austin did more moves. They didn't at all. Their matches and characters were just more entertaining.

You even used the number of moves reference. Which tells me your entire first part of you argument is based off of that alone.
@VirtualWrestlingShow He's still become more diverse considering where he came from. More to the point, Cena's style isn't all about finesse and flashy technical moves. The internet community basically decided to spread hatred of him because the number of his moves were limited, but he changed that. Also, aside from signature moves that you see them do all the time, every wrestler sticks to the basics. They'll do probably 1-2 new cool looking things in a high-profiled match to get oohs and ahs.

@vicioussion If you pay as much attention to a Cena match as you claim, you'd notice John Cena appears to get carried through an entire match and then come back. So, the time he does not spend selling moves, or being sluggish and knocked down, he's responding with a momentum change. (Which is the usual procedure for heel vs face matches) He doesn't do Hulk Hogan sells, he actually does sell moves through entire matches. So as I said, the only thing to agree with is the stale superman gimmick.

@vicioussion And given the talent of that time, better and more exciting matches and segments were a given. John Cena may not be as technical as Chris Benoit or have as broad a moveset as Dean Malenko, but one thing John Cena no longer lacks is diversity. The only real complaint that can be made against him these days is a lack of creativity in terms of his character being this almighty superman like wreslter. Get with the times and stop listening to everything you read on the internet.

@oIHiTMaNIo Listen i know the most of the moves they do are real, but trust me, it doesn't hurt. For example, I additude adjustment my brothers all the time, but not once has it hurt them. And yet on tv they nearly die when they get an attitude adjustment. The only time they actually get hurt is if the moves go wrong and they mess up badly. Also, I've seen Edge talk about WWE being fake. Even MR. Mcmahon said WWE is entertainment, and they don't go by a wrestling buisness anymore.

I'm not a huge Cena fan either, but if you actually payed much, if any attention at all, you'd realize Cena does more diverse, albeit unorthodox moves than most people. @VirtualWrestlingShow He's still become more diverse considering where he came from. More to the point, Cena's style isn't all about finesse and flashy technical moves. The internet community basically decided to spread hatred of him because the number of his moves were limited, but he changed that. Also, aside from signature moves that you see them do all the time, every wrestler sticks to the basics. They'll do probably 1-2 new cool looking things in a high-profiled match to get oohs and ahs.

@vicioussion If you pay as much attention to a Cena match as you claim, you'd notice John Cena appears to get carried through an entire match and then come back. So, the time he does not spend selling moves, or being sluggish and knocked down, he's responding with a momentum change. (Which is the usual procedure for heel vs face matches) He doesn't do Hulk Hogan sells, he actually does sell moves through entire matches. So as I said, the only thing to agree with is the stale superman gimmick.

@vicioussion And given the talent of that time, better and more exciting matches and segments were a given. John Cena may not be as technical as Chris Benoit or have as broad a moveset as Dean Malenko, but one thing John Cena no longer lacks is diversity. The only real complaint that can be made against him these days is a lack of creativity in terms of his character being this almighty superman like wreslter.
