i love this movement best out of all 3, even though it's definitely the least played. there's just something so subtly beautiful about it- no need for anything flashy, it's raw beauty on its own. absolutely gorgeous.
Yes, Webber used many romantic & classical melodies in his compositions. But so have many others. Kismet used many Borodin melodies. Popular music of the early 20th century did it all the time. That's why the songs were so listenable and popular. Unlike so many new songs that are boring one note repetitive lines.
I love this mvt. of the concerto as much as I dislike the 1st mvt. This is a perfect recording of this movement. I love listening to it and cannot wait to play it soon!
This is a beautiful piece, I love the second movement! I love the whole piece, but this is one of my favorite things to play when I need to relax. Thank you so much for posting it!
Classicalmusiconly? Mendelssohn is a romantic composer. He's way after the Classical era. :p

Yeah ClassicalMusicOnly you REALLY need to start listing the artist(s) and/or orchestras in your video descriptions.

Mendelssohn is underrated. This might be the greatest violin concerto ever written.
