They will always be my two childhood heroes. I grew up watching Steve's show every morning and listened to John's music almost all the time. Thank you for making this video, featuring the both of them. Rest in peace John Denver and Steve Irwin.
God rest Steve & John.Strange he looked alot like Denver . I always drew that comparison while watching Irwin on his show. Two great people gone but not forgotten..
This you tube to me with song reminds of statements by both John Denver and Steve Erwin , " you must embrace life and live... you must love the ones the most close to you each moment you can " There is so much difference between the salty crock, the kangaroo, the bighorn sheep, the eagle and the hawk . John Denver' s Annie and Jeff Irwin's Terri were the stabilizing forces of love that supported , but could not restrict either one. Now i wonder what Terri, Bindy , little John will add.
JOHN DENVER& STEVE IRWIN left so much to the world, if only the rest of us could give something back, no matter how small, what an impact we could make. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I say it takes all of us to make a better place for men, women, & children. It starts with Love, compassion and the willingness to reach out to our fellow man . Simple , easy to do, worth a try. Something to think about, does not cost any thing, but time, and love.
This is absolutely beautiful...thank you for putting this together.....
I agree both these men were an inspiration! They loved life...they left a tremendous legacy of love & gratitude for life......I miss them both....but so so grateful they were here....
Awesome video of my two favorite Wildlife Warriors. They are both soaring with the eagles and very much alive to those of us who love them and the wonderful and positive work they did. Beautiful songs and beautiful men! Thanks for bringing them together.
@hicknan219 We should celebrate how much our lives are enriched because of each of them. I can't imagine my world not having their imprint in it. There would be a very large hole. Yes I wish we had more of what they had to offer but i am happy with what we had at least that much.
I believe John Denver and Steve Irwin could be part of the same soul-system, for lack of a better term. I guess it doesn't matter, really. They both had great passion. The first song on here is so powerful. I've always loved it. Damn, I'm a sentimental slob. Here comes the water works.
John Denver and Steve Irwin. Both legends for their humanitarian cause. One, a singer, composer, and actor, other animal preservation specialist, and naturalist.
I was looking for some John Denver and came upon this. thank you so muck for this beautiful tribute for two of my favorite nature warriors. They will live on forever in the hearts and minds of nature lovers, such as I.
I miss Steve Irwin! He has such love for for Animals in theWild! I hope we can continue his work!! His Daughter , Bindi is older now and she is in the Free Willie movie! Nice!!
I've always loved both of these guys for many reasons. I never realized till Steve left us how similar he and John Denver wear, both in appearance and their love of the earth and all of nature. I miss them so much!! I was quite happy seeing a video like this, thank you so much!!
I had said in the pass that John Denver & Steve Erwin were two animal lovers . I loved them most for that . Love for our earth & God' creatures. Love the rare kitten & wolf pictures. Missing them both always & forever. Thanks for this share. ~Ava~
I think the main thing these men had in common is that they got up every day and did exactly what they wanted to do and they found a way to get paid for it! Wish I could do that!
@nrpille Don't wish. Create what you want with your word and take action on that declaration. You have the same personal power that these two awesome beings and many before them have manifested. Namaste !!!
This has to be the nices video I have ever seen on you tube. I share your feelings, two of the best men who ever lived. We could learn a lot from them.RIP Steve and John
Beautiful tribute to two wonderful men. I noticed how like JD Steve was when I watched his programmes after John died. Not just the looks but the enthusiasm for life and love of the natural world.
Oh thank you for this tribute--I cried watching this! Steve was my hero and John's music and life were such an inspiration. Both of these men made a great difference in human and animal life. Sometimes people are born that have a special connection with nature, a connection to life that is hard to explain. Steve and John had this connection and the world is a better place because of their lives. I miss them both and I will always be a warrior for wildlife and an voice for the voiceless!
Beautiful Tribute to 2 great Icons I was just thinking about both of these guys recently because I was telling my wife & mother about developing a program in the future about the education of wildlife both for myself & anyone who was interested in joining to try to continue their legacy!!! Thank You again for this Beautifully Sad Tribute!!!! RIP John,& Steve you are missed greatly!!!!
Both who left a legacy and who will greatly be missed. John who knew how to touch hearts through his songs. Steve who changed the way how we saw crocodiles as a beautiful animal instead of a predator. Both men lived their lives in what they belived for -- the world needs more people like them.
This is a beautiful tribute to two wonderful men that seemed to be brothers of the soul. Their early deaths were a huge loss to us all. Thankfully, their images, words and songs will live on to inspire and teach us. We miss you John and Steve!
John Denver sang my safely through my teen years. I too learned to play guitar singing his songs. I'm also an animal-lover and was shocked and saddened by Steve Irwin's sudden and tragic death. What is that Billy Joel song...only the good die young.
A lovely tribute that brought a tear to my eye. Thanks ever so much.
Thanks for putting this up mate! Two wonderful, passionate men who I will mourn 'til the day I die.
Until recently I lived literally around the corner from Steve's zoo in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, but I never managed to make it to the zoo to see him. I'm a bedridden invalid but I could have made it in a wheelchair; now I'll never have the chance. There's a lesson there...
Our local community was shocked beyond belief: like me they thought he would live for ever, he was so vibrantly alive.
Continued from the paragraph below: As for John, I've played guitar since age 8 and Iearned to play singing his songs. Because I took my guitar everywhere went and we had similar faces, hair and glasses and an identical repertoire, the kids at school used to call me John Denver.
Thanks for taking time to make this lovely tribute to two men who I admired enormously and who touched so many peoples lives with their own unique magic.
Some how, from some where, in heaven don't you know these two brothers are creating some awesome adventures and songs.. I can't wait to see the again one day
This is a beautiful, touching tribute to two of the best who have passed. I loved them both and my life was so inspired by them. If only I could leave as much behind for our beautiful world. RIP Steve and John the sunshine makes me think of you both with a smile and not tears.

two gr8 heroes of conservation, i will miss JD's songs my world will be darker for their absence and the world will be darker for the mans absence as well. Steve Irwin gone is a tragety for me and the whole world the best at saving crocs and making life fun. two best conservationists god bless you guys i'll miss them. R.I.P
Both great men, but it's too bad that the guy who actually wrote the song is not mentioned anywhere. Dave Mallett, a folksinger and songwriter from Maine, is a great songwriter who should be much better known than he is.
I love this song I played it in 9th grade Hi I am Hannah from Guilford CT and were r u from? How opld r u? I am 16 and what insterment do u play? I play viola thanx 4 posting it
This is a beautiful tribute to John and Steve. Two men that I greatly admired. Steve gave me a totality different out look on snakes. John gave me all that wonderful poetry that I have loved ever sense I was a little kid. The Nature pictures, were they pictures that John took? I hear that he was a talented photographer.
A wonderful tribute to both of these amazing men who gave so much of themselves to the world. Until I saw this I didn't even think about the connection between them. I miss them both. And yes, this world is poorer without them in it. My favorite story is the day that my kitten, Sunshine, was placed on my shoulder over 25 years ago. She died at the good old age of 23 a couple of years ago and I miss her, too!
Incredibly inspirational...thank you. I work with animals as much as can to help save and preserve life of all kinds, andtese two men were two of my biggest inspirations...the world is a better place because of the footprints they left for us to follow. Thank you sooo much for making this!
Wonderful. How alike they both are! What tragedies the world lost them too soon. Two souls now brightening Heaven. Thank you for posting this, it's made my day.
They will always be my two childhood heroes. I grew up watching Steve's show every morning and listened to John's music almost all the time. Thank you for making this video, featuring the both of them. Rest in peace John Denver and Steve Irwin.
