Working for Apple is not as great as you think.

I worked for Apple Europe for 2 Years managing the business side, and trust me, if you value your social and family life, that is the last company you want to work for.

people always think that because Apple is a cool brand, it would be a cool place to work... NO, its not.

but don't get me wrong, its filled with the brightest, most intelligent employees you will ever come across, but the culture is not life friendly.

He's somewhat correct. As the current Marketing Manager for Apple's Chicago division I know. Expect to be slightly underpaid and work ridiculous hours. You will have the time of your life though, in the marketing field anyway. We have some the greatest marketing campaigns out there and I love going to work everyday. Most employees are a pleasure to work with and offer great insight, while I question the qualifications of others... Go for it. If you don't like it you can always look elsewhere.
