@def44 no, its not actually better. i just heard this semi-literate fool claim that he was offered the position of japanese finance minister? a canadian citizen? he hangs around with the "leader of the world martial arts movements". Ignorance is not entertaining.
What if you increase the delay to 5 seconds or so..and the reverse to a shorter delay? There could be a harmonic interval..like twins talking to each other. Or one can conclude it is best not to listen to the things they themselves say.
@gratex What if the feedback was only in one ear or the other? It is said that most of the ability for speech occurs in the left hemisphere of the brain, so I wonder what the effect of that would be.
When I was a first year psychology student you had to be a guinea pig for final year students. One experiment had different words coming into each ear and you had to write down what you heard and which ear it came into. That was similarly disorienting.
Which also reminds me of talking to my mum when she was on the phone when I was tiny. She asked me not to. I asked her why not as she had two ears.
