  • Wow, this is awesome. Did you make it out of an XB or another type?

How much money would you estimate the entire thing costs, cause I think I might want to do one of my own in a couple years.

  • It costs roughly 50 to 75K to build one.The hardest part is finding a GOOD XA,XB coupe, getting it here and the fixing all the RUST that is ALWAYS in these cars and then buying and installing all the Mad Max bits.I know quite a few importers and even a few replica builders and parts suppliers.Since I have another XB coupe already here,I am way ahead in making another one.I'm still getting over the shock of selling this one,but the next one will be better/faster/meaner.Cheers

  • @torinoscj How about the supercharger? If you want a functional one is that hard to do? I'd assume it's pretty costly.

  • It is pretty expensive. The engine needs to be built to blower specs, low compression, the cost of the blower, pulleys, manifold and belt, and the cost of a new Scott unit itself about 7K,so it IS pretty spendy to make a REAL blown interceptor and it still wouldn't be movie accurate since you couldn't turn the blower on and off.

  • @torinoscj Howw many XBs are there left anyways? Weren't there only like 1500? I'd estimate each year it gets much harder to find one.

  • Love that sound!

  • I still can't believe after completely fixing the body on that thing that you can part with it. It's a sad day.
