This just goes to show that even if you get in the game later, if you work really hard, you can do whatever you want! It's much more important to establish a solid support through the leg and seat before even thinking of asking the horse to go on the bit. Premature attempts at collection can damage both the rider and the horse. I think Sarah is very smart in trying to perfect her position rather than cramming her horse into a frame so that he's 'correct.' There are actually moments in the video where (c)
her horse naturally rounds through his neck and back. This is far more preferable to actually have to ask him to do this because it means that he's being ridden correctly, from back to front, and the impulsion is coming through from his hindquarters rather than being pushed in from his head.
