  • left as fast as it came...this video shows the destruction it left in it's path....

  • I was stuck in this storm!!

  • Ah, the October Surprise. We had no power for 6 days but, thankfully, we did have a gas powered generator. What amazed me is how quickly the 22" of snow vanished. The aftermath looked a lot like hurricane damage my brother's property experienced in Florida.

  • I liked how you synced the video with the song.

  • It was tha last storm I ever spent with my dying parents on Vegola ave. I kept them alive and then a few weeks later it was over for all of us, my parents my

siblings especially me their baby boy Forgive me mom and dad for all my failures. I look forword to seeing you again. Love you. Rick

  • buffalo is the best but that was scary i was in it

  • in tennessee we're happy to get a huge snow storm...haha i bought a snowboard and i cant use it

  • It's wierd that this happened on FRIDAY THE 13TH. Hell of a coincedence, huh?

  • yea ik! that was rele weird....Buffalo is amazing i loveit

  • Not weird when you know the real truth and reason for Friday the 13th, lol :)

  • lol, Buffalo has to be one of the cities with the worst winter weather. lol

  • Oh really? hehe...I wish it snowed here where I am, but all I get is hot weather (australia)

  • Well, hot weather is better than sub-zero temps, right?

  • lol not when this week it has been high 113 degrees with strong HOT winds, so hot it makes it hard to breath and you sweat and just can't get cool...hmmm I prefer to have the cold, easier to get warm than it is to get cool hehe.

  • Well, up here, we have lake effect that's so bad, it caused the Blizzard of '77. I wasn't alive then, but I've seen pics. Google it.

  • To be honest I have no idea what the lake effect is. I have not heard of it before, are you able to explain pls?

  • Sure, Lake Effect precipitation is when clouds form over a close-by water source and causes more precip to fall than normal precip. In lake effect snow falls, the snowflakes are much bigger than regular snowflakes.

  • @donaldengine9 Lake effect can also be strangely directional. Buffalo gets a lot more snow from Lake Ontario than Toronto, just north of the same lake.

  • @myscongeniality, during winter the water temperature of the great lakes is warmer the than air temperature. As the cold air moves across the lake and encounters a rise in topography (land elevation), it is forced up because of the land mass. As this moist air rises, it cools. As it cools, it condenses. If enough condensation occurs, precipitation will be produced. The colder the air mass moving over the lake and the steeper the land raises the more precipitation will occur. Did that help?

  • @myscongeniality, lake effect is precipitation brought on by a lake, the snow flakes are usually huge.

  • I would much rather have Buffalo temps haha. When it is 70 here people sit in ice tubs haha. I really love the snow too.

  • Shows how resillant Northerns are! If everyone here acted like they in the South the country would shut down from late November to March!

  • Try big bear, CA for size.
