  • I always tell new machinists never to blow chips off their milling or machine work with an air hose, always use a brush.. also never to use your fingers to remove chips.

  • @gbowne1

I agree. I always tell all the students to use the brush. Never use your hands to remove chips. You might get away with it on some plastics but if you do that on stainless steel it will only take you one time to learn a hard lesson.

  • this question is kind or unrelated to your video but i didnt know who else to ask. Can a 8inch or 10inch drill press hold a 6" milling machine?

  • @killerkowalczyk

Do you mean a 6" diameter end mill?

8" or 10" drill press table? or is it a 8" or 10" throat, distance from center of the drill chuck to the edge of the drill press column.

If it can be held in a drill chuck you can use it in the drill press. The problem is if you can hold the part as you use a 6" endmill. Does that answer any of your question? If not let me know and I will try to understand what you are trying do.
