You are right his is a breakers yard, ConradHeinrich, but you can see the anchor chains hanging from the ship's bow. This means that there has been a desperate attempt to stop the ship by using the anchors. In my experience the anchors are usually torn away, especially on a ship this size, resulting in a huge bill for her owners. Even on a ship that is being broken the anchors would be valuable as they can be sold.

@ripelcannon Wich drydock? Open your eyes, on the right you see an already half-scraped vessel, not a dry dock! You can see the wing tanks, the cell guides.. This are two vessels being scraped; theres no dry dock ;)

@ripelcannon It's obviously in India; there they "beach" old vessel to scrap them. Thats a business - and they want to scrap as much as possible. So, to safe space, they run the vessel with full ahead on the beach. And in this case they use a gap between two other wrecks.. Thats the reason for this stunt; it is a controlled and a deliberate action. They want to destroy this vessels anyway - so what should they care about?

Great video and thanks for posting it..... it shows one of the ships being run up the beach to be scrapped in the yard at Alang in India...... people pay a lot of money to be on the helm to do this.... hope it helps.
