No. I remember on the Mega Man Anniversary collection there was an option to put on hints that had the side effect that turned all music to more modernly done versions instead of 8-bit. I vastly prefered the 8-bit stuff.

Actually, this is from the arcade game Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, and the music in that game was inserted to ports of Mega Man 2, and the music also happens to be included in a Stepmania pack.
