Western Electric 302 " The Lucy Phone". Introduced in 1937. The bells were placed in the base of the phone, the extra box (subset)was no longer needed to hear the phone ring.
That appears to be a Western Electric (WE) model 302. They were introduced in the late 1930's. They were used for several decades until replaced by the model 500, which is probably the one you had. They will ring if wired correctly.
i just have to say i love this song via total accident, in iraq i bought the WRONG cd which happened to be this one, turns out just the slowness of this song was perfect for lonely days in Taji,or Baquba
Yeah, I know what you mean. It's a simple tune that, for me, required a simple visual. Many of my former teachers would offer this vid up as proof that I'm just lazy and couldn't bring myself to produce an "actual" video. Too many things get measured with calipers that should otherwise just be felt.
Hell yea me too lovin it i was using ringing sound effdects to get my sister attention this song was perfect lolll

Oh...nice song, BTW !!!!!
Is that your own song?? It sounds very professionally done ! You should get a CD out and send it to Sony/BMG etc...
And get an agent....cause that's a great song.

Wow...that's an artiscally and aesthetically beautiful phone !!! ha ha...never thought I would say that about a phone...but that one is !!!!
Looks like a phone from the 50's maybe.
So much more appealing looking than the clunky old ATT rotary phones I grew up with in the seventies.
What kind of phone is it? Does it still ring?

LWF,
Thanks for your comment.
I'm glad you got some enjoyment out of it.
I think you were the one who introduced me to the singer, monton94. Thank *you* for that.

I must say the telephone picture drew me to listen to this because I love basic black rotary dial telephones.
But a nice song somewhat Cheryl Crowish in style.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the comment, Sandy.

CGG, you're back!
I'm glad you like it. If I could find a pink phone with the same aesthetic appeal, I'd do this one over. Ha!
Love,
Mike
