Great thoughts to share with family and friends, reminder to all of us in how to walk through dificult times that we all have at one time or another as we walk though this life! Thanks Ted!
AMEN Pastor Haggard! For years I was far too careless with my words – and dismissed my immature behavior as simply being part of my natural (authentic) self. However, the Spirit has been guiding me in exactly what you are teaching here…to use more discretion and wisdom in expressing my opinions and selecting my words. What we say is POWERFUL. It can either build up, or destroy, and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Can’t wait to see more videos!
Ted, we all need to understand how powerful our words are. Great ideas of how we can impact others in a positive way with our tongue. Our mom's always taught us to treat others the way we would want to be treated, using our words wisely is a powerful tool.
I agree with what you say about being authentic and real. Many people today do not understand this concept, but it is important for us to be real in our relationships and with others. We do need to be wise in what we say as well. Thanks for the post.
I think all of us have been on the receiving end of what negative "honesty" can do to wound and hurt. We will not please everybody all of the time and will certainly not always agree with one another, however we are supposed to always let our conversation be full of grace. Honesty with respect should be the goal.
This is another very encouraging message from Pastor Ted. Remember Paul's advise: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." That means that the truth test is not sufficient. If it is true, but would only discourage or humiliate the person you are talking about, dont say it!
Ted Haggard you feed so much wisdom in such a short amount of time. Most conflict begins because of saying something without thinking. I pray those who watch Celebrity Wife Swap will slow down and think of the message before wagging the tongue. We love you Pastor Ted and the Haggard family!
Since you've been back in full-time ministry, I have no doubt that you are continuing your spiritual trait of being "authentic" = real, transparent, open, honest, and vulnerable. I've seen it...heard it...and have been a part of it. Thanks for the courage to move forward!!
Thank you for the wise words about encouraging others with our speech and building things that are proactive and positive. You've grown and come through a lot in the past 5 years and it's so nice to see you back. I hope many people will see that you can come through a scandal and be better for it. God bless!

Thanks for the video Ted. I was recently attacked by friends on Facebook for not talking ill against a local panhandler.
