@phantompanther You are so observant! I heard that, too, but none of the other visitors seemed to notice. It was the sound of one of the alarms that was malfunctioning. I remember being in the Reptile House of another zoo a few years ago when a very loud alarm went off and no one paid any attention to it at all! The Philadelphia Zoo has had occasional emergency drills during which visitors are told to move out of buildings (or into buildings) quickly, which is very good.
