and something i forgot to add: i was actually doing a CAD rendering of a 'hook' that could be soldered to the slide, and another 'lip' added to the Kydex Pounch that hold the magazines; so you can operate the slide with one hand if you dont reload with a bullet still in the chamber.

as dual wielding, it could still be useful for people with a weak or missing hand. and maybe a specifically designed magazine pouch, i think Kydex would be best, that holds mags out at an angle on a given body part (front torso or thigh) to be reloaded by sliding the handgun down on top of them, rather than bringing the magazine up. or you could go all-out and make it belt fed (cool). just a thought.

here are some things i think would be good to incorporate in such a gun, and remember, like many other things related to firearms in the US; its because you can and want to, not because it is practical. first off, adding points of contact is important; something like a forearm crutch to brace the wrist, large ambidextrous controls that can be accessed with the hand on the handle, a high eye relief optic, im thinking Eotechs. and, even if a given person didnt want to do anything as dangerous/fun

you know, i have been thinking. there are a lot of things people do with certain guns that you just cannot do with others. like, for instance, we have double guns that fire .375+ bore rounds for elephants, and 22lr rifles/pistols for varmints, and we take 2000yard shots with special, super-accurized, long range cartridges and bolt action rifles, and we lay down massive lead with belt fed full automatics... why not make a gun designed specifically to be fired and operated with one hand?
