@Septagotius It should if you have the proper .inf driver from windows, after all, ndiswrapper is just a wrapper to make the driver function under linux
@TheFatdemon3 That is because it is using the GNOME Desktop Enviroment, many Linux Distros, BSD variants and many other unix-like OS's can use GNOME. But i can assure you OpenSolaris is totally different, for a start, it's not even Linux!
There is a OpenIndiana distribution now in beta release, so OpenSolaris users can install/update to OpenIndiana distribution (based on OpenSolaris technology). In the future, OpenIndiana will use Illumos OS/Net consolidation (that is base system, kernel and programs) and IPS packaging on top, just like OpenSolaris before, now OpenIndiana uses it.
Target market is servers but since it is community-driven, feel free to contribute with package making.
eeeeeeeeeeee, found ya,what a really nice video mate, and what most of you have said is true, and as now they have killed it,nexenta is the only one left, with this type of distro
I'd drop my freakin Wintendoes if I could get my wireless adapter working on it, but no OS besides XP supports it

@Septagotius Is it not supported by Linux or BSD?
lindsaymobil22 7 months ago
@lindsaymobil22 it worked in Ubuntu 9.04
Then nothing else, not even with the non-free drivers

@Septagotius What about using ndiswrapper and using a windows driver with that?
lindsaymobil22 7 months ago
@lindsaymobil22 Doesn't ndiswrapper not support wusb adapters?

@lindsaymobil22 Alright, so i'll probably have to extract the driver from windows disassemble the installer, right?
Septagotius 7 months ago
@Septagotius You can do that, or you can see if you can get the driver only (without the installer)
