We watched "Meteorite Men" on the Science Channel and these same 2 guys were in the Mohave Desert wearing leather chaps to keep snakes from bitting their ankles. It was 104 in the shade and there wasn't any shade and a law that if you were in that part of the desert (the Gold Basin) with a metal detector you could be fined $5,000 and have to spend five years in prison. They found 6 and were required to donate them to some college collection. What's our country coming to anyway?
